A Dylena Story

(meanwhile)
Kit arrives at the table just as Alice is taking her seat. With the exception of Angie who is now playing with some of her toys, the entire table is silent, as Kit and Alice are in a stare down. Alice is the first to break. “What, I’m sorry Kit, alright.”
“You’ll be sorry if you ever come in here and start that kinda crap again. Just cause you’re my friend doesn’t give you the right to start shoving and yelling at people, regardless of what they’ve done. Not in my establishment.”
“Seriously, will someone please tell me what’s going on?” Tina motions to Bette to sit down while giving her the abbreviated version of the situation got from Shane. “Alice started a fight with Dylan.”
“I did not start it. She came up behind me interrupting my conversation with Shane, rudely by the way, talking about how I don’t know her.”
“Because she heard what you were, very loudly, saying about her. You called her…” Shane glances over to Angie reminding herself there is a child at the table before she looks back to Alice and continues. “You called her a F-ing liar and a user and that all she was after was Helena’s money. She heard that Alice, that’s why she interrupted YOUR, not our conversation.”
“Alice sometimes you mouth needs a censor button.”
“Oh what, really Tina, now your on her side too. I’m sorry maybe you can all forget what she did to OUR friend, but I can’t and won’ t. She hasn’t proven herself to me yet.”
Bette who has been listening, while having to keep bending over to pick up her daughters toys finally chimes in. “You’re right Alice. Dylan hasn’t proven herself to any of us. Not me, not Tina or Shane or Kit, any of us. But….”
“Thank you, finally another voice of reason.”
“You’re welcome Alice, but I wasn’t finished. What I was going to say, before I was rudely interrupted, was that Dylan doesn’t need to prove herself to me or you or any of us. The only one Dylan needs to prove herself to is Helena.”
“Whatever, I don’t care. I said my peace to Helena.” T hen adding under her breath, “Besides, I got someone else on it.” The entire table is suddenly quiet again. All of them looking at Alice wondering what her last comment could mean.

Alice never learns. She is going to lose her friendship with Helena if she doesn’t change her ways. Thanks for the update!
So happy that Helena will now listen to Dylan and truly believes that Dylan loves her as much as she loves Dylan. Hopefully they can work things out and it sounds as though they are on a good road to do so. Alice is an idiot, and you’re right monrazz, she will never learn. What in the heck did that last comment mean? Is she having Dylan investigated or has she hired someone to beat her up or worse, the woman is truly crazy. Whatever she has done regarding that last statement will truly cause her to lose the friendship she has with Helena and possibly everyone else as well because she is always meddling in the other’s business and spouting her opinions which are usually wrong. Great update. Thanks for posting.
Finally Bette has a few words of wisdom. The only person Dylan has to prove what she feels and says is to Helena. And all of them need to let nature just run its course. I like the chapter I felt the warmth of that kiss. About time too. But I know that they needed to go through a lot before. They got to this significant point. Where do they go from here? Can’t wait for more; your chapters get more insightful everytime.
