    A Dylena Story

    “Shane, what’s going on?”

    “Hmm? What do you mean?”

Tina gets to the table and sits down.  Before she speaks, she notes the questioning look Bette is giving Shane.  “Uh, Hi Shane….what’s going on?”

“Nothing.  Hi, Tina.  How are you?”  Both Tina and Bette see her quickly glance over to Kit before she takes another sip of her drink.

Tina is about to answer, when Bette interrupts.  “It is more than obvious that something is going on Shane.  I mean, my sister has been cleaning the same spot on that counter since Tina and I walked in. Alice is apparently here, but I don’t see her anywhere.  Was she in the bathroom, Tee?”  Tina shakes her head no.  “Add to those two things the fact that in the five minutes I’ve been sitting here with you you’ve looked over to check on my sister 4 times.  Something is definitely going on.  I  am going to talk to Kit."  Excusing herself from the table, Bette heads to her sister.  Tina watches Bette walk away wondering what it is that she has missed during her short trip to the bathroom.  “Shane, what’s going on?”  Reluctantly, Shane begins tells Tina what happened.

The closer Bette gets to her sister, she senses more and more that something has happened and begins to worry about what could possibly have her so upset.  Kit is scrubbing the counter hard enough to take the finish off and mumbling under her breath “damn fools, comin in here acting like children, should of thrown both their asses out, shoving and yelling like idiots”

    “I think it’s clean.”

Startled Kit stops her cleaning.  “What? Oh hey, baby sis.  I’m sorry, it’s been a day from hell in here today.”  She throws the rag under the counter while turning to look at the office door.  Bette follows her sisters eyes.  The door opens and Alice walks out making her way to the table that Bette just left.  “Hmph, she better not start anything else today or any other day for that matter.”

“What Kit?  Did Alice dosomething?”  Ignoring Bette, Kit leaves the counter moving in the same direction as Alice.  “What the hell is going on?”

    (back in the office)

I let Alice speak first for two reason’s.  The first, being because she was Helena’s best friend.  After what Helena said to us, I know she loves her friends and they are very dear to her.  I was trying to be unselfish and non-confrontational with her best friend, unlike my actions before.  I shouldn’t have let Alice provoke me like that.

    1. So happy that Helena will now listen to Dylan and truly believes that Dylan loves her as much as she loves Dylan. Hopefully they can work things out and it sounds as though they are on a good road to do so. Alice is an idiot, and you’re right monrazz, she will never learn. What in the heck did that last comment mean? Is she having Dylan investigated or has she hired someone to beat her up or worse, the woman is truly crazy. Whatever she has done regarding that last statement will truly cause her to lose the friendship she has with Helena and possibly everyone else as well because she is always meddling in the other’s business and spouting her opinions which are usually wrong. Great update. Thanks for posting.

    2. Finally Bette has a few words of wisdom. The only person Dylan has to prove what she feels and says is to Helena. And all of them need to let nature just run its course. I like the chapter I felt the warmth of that kiss. About time too. But I know that they needed to go through a lot before. They got to this significant point. Where do they go from here? Can’t wait for more; your chapters get more insightful everytime.
