Chapter 44
Tina immediately felt bad about asking, Jessie senses it.
“I have friends in all the places I have lived in, but when I start getting close, something happens and I have to move away. It happens every time.” Jessie explains as she’s playing with her fingers.
“But now, with Stephanie, it’s all good, right?” Tina asks.
“Yeah, so far. I really like her and the kids, but her husband He’s a little weird.” Jessie replies.
“Weird? How?” Tina asks.
“Well, I can’t really explain He’s just weird.” Jessie replies, not really knowing how to explain.
“Does he hurt you, or look at you in some way or” Tina asks.
“He looks at me But it’s not a big deal. He hasn’t hurt me or anything. I like it there.” Jessie replies.
“But if something does happen, promise me that you will let me know? Or tell Stephanie.” Tina says.
“I will, but I don’t think you have to worry.” Jessie says and gives Tina a little smile.
“Okay:” Tina replies and smiles back.
“So, where were you born?” Tina asks.
“In
“That’s a nice city.” Tina says.
“I wouldn’t know. I was sent away when I was 2.” Jessie says.
“What happened?” Tina asks. “If you want to tell me, you don’t have to.” Tina adds.
“No, it’s okay. My mother was a drug addict, at least that’s what they told me.” Jessie replies.
“Have you met your mother after?” Tina asks.
“No, I haven’t.” Jessie replies.
“Do you want to sometimes?” Tina asks.
“I think about her often, if I have any siblings, or who my real father is, and also who my real mother is. I don’t remember her.” Jessie replies.
“If you want to know, you should try to find her.” Tina suggests.
“Yeah” Jessie replies and takes a sip of her water.
“Just to let you know, you’ll always have a friend in me.” Tina says and smiles. This made Jessie smile too.
“Thank you.” Jessie replies almost teary.
Tina smiles, she looks at her watch.
“I’m just going to go look on the board. I’ll be right back.” Tina says.
Jessie nods.
Tina walks over to the board with the arrival times. And she sees that it ahs just landed. She walks back to Jessie.

Tina does has her hand full, but for some reason I am a little suspecious of Jessie. Something just does not seem to be quite right with her or her foster father.
Really love this story. Hopefully Lara and Jessie will get along leaving time for Bette & Tina to be alone. Can´t wait to see which direction you´ll be leading us in the chapters to come. Please post soon.

Thanks for the post. Pleasantly surprised to find it. Tina definitely has her hands full…she trying to take care of a sick Jessie and trying to be with Bette. I agree with cpq…there’s something bothering me about Jessie. I’m not quite sure why, but something doesn’t seem right. Please do continue.

oh my to much stuff for Tina to handle..and Stephanie´s husband will be a problem to Jessie dosent he? but Tina will be there for her..and Tina is a natural mother she will be a great mom and Bette as well..amazing chapter as always thanks :o)
