    A crush, a meeting then love?? – Chapter 200

“I don’t see the wrong in it. He’s asked us why we kiss and we’ve told him that it’s because we like each other. He hasn’t done anything wrong.” Bette says.

“I know that, I think it’s kind of sweet. But those parents in there seem to have a problem with it.” Angela says.

“What does the other students say. Has he been teased or called names since he did this?” Tina asks.

“Some of the older boys has teased him a little yes. But I have personally told them not too. So hopefully it won’t be a big problem.” Angela says.

“Okay, good. I don’t want him to be the odd one out.” Tina replies.

    “He won’t.” Angela replies.

“So do we meet these other parents?” Bette asks.

“Yes, I’ll go an get them now.” Angela says and stands up.

“Could this be done without him present? Could he maybe return to class?” Bette asks.

“No mama, I don’t want to.” Noah cries.

“Sweetie, it’s just for a few minutes. Then we’ll come to get you. We just have to talk to some people first.” Bette says.

    “Okay. Mama?” He asks.

    “Yeah?” Bette replies.

“What does queer and “You’re living in sin” mean?” Noah asks.

“How do you know these words?” Bette asks curiously.

“Charlie’s mommy and daddy said so.” Noah replies wiping his tears.

“Did they say that to you?” Bette asks.

He nods an look into Bette’s eyes.

“Okay. Why don’t you go back to class and wait for us there.” Bette says and kiss his cheek.

“Okay.” He says and reach over to Tina, wanting a hug from her too.

“See you soon sweetie.” Tina says and kisses him too.

Bette lowers him down and he walks out of the office and down the hall to his classroom.

Angela opens the door to the next room and let the Redkins in.

“Bette and Tina, these are Carla and John Redkins. And John and Carla these are Bette and Tina Kennard Porter.” Angela says introducing them.

“Hello, nice to meet you.” Bette and Tina says and reach out their hands. The Redkins doesn’t respond except a very formal ‘hello’.

“Well, to be honest I don’t see the problem here, but I got Bette and Tina here, per your request. So I guess you should say what is on you minds.” Angela says to the Redkins.

    1. Tina and Bette handle that so beautiful. the other parents that is real life. its their way or the wrong. So glad that Bette didnt get mad after tell the boy he was living in sin. Cold cocking him wouldnt have solved anything. So glad that Jessie and Julie has decided to have a baby. that is great love this post when you can thanks

    2. I thought that this was kind of curious. I thought that B&T would explain the difference between someone that you liked and someone that you love. Their children must know that they love them as well as they love each other, therefore you would peobably kiss some one on the lips that you love while you might kiss someone on the cheek that you liked. I thought that Bette would have said that Noah kisses and huggs his brother and asked the other parents do they have a problem with that. I am surprised that this discussion didn’t get more heated when Bette told the other parents what they should be teaching their child. Most parents don’t take it lightly when you tell what they should be teaching their children or how they should be raising them. Still loving this story, happy 200 :o)

    3. Damn they handled that better than I would have. I’d have knocked John into tomorrow for saying that to my kid. I thought the way B&T explained kissing was a little odd as well. I mean, I’d probably say the same thing but then add that you should ninja a kiss on someone or you might get slapped. lol It’s just better to ask first. That isn’t really a situation where it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Happy 200, and hurry back! =D

    4. Love the story and we are having some interesting situations come up and the girls are handling it without getting upset or freaking out. Great chapter.

    5. Excellent chapter! but i want kick the Redkin’s ass, well the father’s ass! is so pathetic and bad person with a lot of prejudice! i hope Noah won’t has a difficult time in school! take care

    6. I love how you had Bette and Tina handle the situation with Noah. A number of kids at 5 years old kiss and hug a child of the same sex. A teacher once told her class that kissing was for family and hugging was for friends when this matter came about. The other parents blew the whole situation out of the water when they were saying what they did to Noah. I hope that you get time to post on someone’s computer but if not I will be waiting for your return.

    7. Just been doing some catching up (as always :o)) – very nice updates and you know I love the story and yes I belive Bette and Tina handlede the situation quiet well. Post soon

    8. Another great one Lauren…congrats on your 200th posts, that’s really something!!!! And we still want more, so hurry up with the moving and good luck with that :o)) I got a bad feeling in the end, that something is going to happen to either B or T on their way home, please tell me I’m wrong….take care and post as soon as possible.

    9. HEy Lauren, I don’t often comment but I am here following this lovely story. I adore the interactions between all of the family and how the complexities of live are dealt with openly and honestly. Bette and Tina are a class act and their committment is a lesson to us all. Thank you so much for this wonderful writing and major league congratulations on your double century of chapters. Can’t wait for the next two. Your Loyal Fan.
