“I remember. Almost like it was yesterday.” Bette replies.

“Yeah, me too. I was so nervous when I asked you at the Planet that day. I thought you would say no.” Tina admits and let out a little giggle.

“I was nervous too. I almost didn’t go in.” Bette admits for the first time.

“I’m glad you did.” Tina says and give her a loving smile.

“I am too.” Bette replies.

“That night when you came here, and we got to talk, I fell in love with you. I knew that night, that you were the one for me.” Tina says with a dreamy look on her face.

“Something changed for me too that night. It wasn’t love though. I was scared of what I was feeling. I was drawn to you. Your eyes drew me to you, you have the most beautiful eyes.” Bette says and looks intensely at Tina, who smiles back at her. “It was ‘like’ first. But then I got to know you and then I fell, and I fell pretty hard. By the end of that date, you had me under your spell.” Bette says and lets out a little laugh.

“Our life together started that night.” Tina starts a little more seriously. “And now we’re about to start another chapter of our life. We’re both ready to fall in love again.” Tina says and smiles.

“Yeah, with a little baby.” Bette says dreamingly, looking lovingly into Tina’s eyes. “I don’t think I have loved you more than I do at this moment.” Bette says.

Tina smiles back and wipes away a few tears that has found their way down her cheeks.

“I love you too.” Tina replies. “Let’s eat before the food gets cold.” She says and takes a big spoon onto her plate.

“Yeah.” Bette replies and does the same.

They eat and continue to talk about the past, all the good moments.

After dinner, Tina stands up, walks over to the counter and turns on the CD player that Jessie had placed there. Tina had gone out and bought the Sarah McLachlan CD with the song that Bette sang to her at their wedding. Bette smiled when she heard which song.

“Dance with me?” Tina asks and holds out her hand.

“I would love too.” Bette replies and stands up.

Tina takes Bette’s hands in hers and they start to sway to the music. Tina lay her head down on Bette’s shoulder.

“Sing to me?” Tina whispers.

Bette smiles and then starts to sing along with the CD.

Tina let the tears flow. She was just so happy. She lifts her head up and looks into Bette’s eyes.

“Baby, what’s wrong?” Bette asks.

“Nothing, I’m just so happy.” Tina whispers with a smile. She leans in for a kiss. “I love you.” She whispers.

“I love you too.” Bette replies as Tina lay her head back onto Bette’s shoulder and they keep swaying until the music stops.
