Kasey stood and wandered toward her truck.  She pulled out about thirty feet of rope from one of its compartment.  She quietly slipped into Aiden’s tent as the girls looked on.  Moments later she emerged slowly dragging Aiden and his air mattress out of his shelter.  Aiden wanted to bring the mattress instead of a regular sleeping bag; Kasey considered this a mistake and was hoping she would have the chance to do this to him.

“Gimme a hand will ya?”  She smiled in direction of the three girls; Spencer was still sleeping comfortably in her tent.

The four teenagers quietly slid Aiden onto the lake as Kasey tied the rope to his mattress and the other end to a nearby tree.  He drifted out nearly twenty feet before floating offshore.

“There we go, problem solved. I can barely hear him.”  Kasey rubbed her hands together and grinned.

“He’s gonna be pissed.”  Ashley laughed.

“Yea but it’s sooo worth it.”  Kyla giggled as all four sat back down eyeing Aiden.

A muffled yawn came from the truck as Spencer peaked out of her tent.  Her hair was tussled, her eyes were weary and half closed.  ‘Even half asleep the girl is beautiful.’ Ashley thought to herself.

“Mm.. Good morning.”  Spencer smiled, rubbing her eyes.  She slipped out of the tent and sat next to Ashley as Madison and Kyla cooked breakfast on the fire.

“Mornin’ sleepy head.”  Ashley nudged her playfully.

Kasey stood near the lake then quietly turned to the group.  “Good mornin’ Spencer.  I think we should wake sleeping beauty up now.  What do you think?”  She smiled at the blonde who stood and walked toward her.

“Sleeping beauty?”  She asked, still trying to wake herself up.  “But I’m right here!”  She smiled sheepishly.

“Right.”  Kasey laughed only to be poked in the side.  “Ow, ok ok.  Fine, let’s just wake Aiden up.” She held her hands up protectively as Spencer glared lightheartedly.

Spencer looked on in awe when she finally spotted Aiden out on the water.  Kasey cupped her lips with her hands and yelled, “Aiden, breakfast is ready!”

“Mmm…Yea, uh…one…one more minute.”  He muttered and flipped onto his side only to throw the mattress off balance.  “AAHH!!”  The boy fell into the water and wailed his arms frantically in the air.  He finally gripped the mattress and spat in disgust.
