You Only Live Once – Why Not Enjoy It – (Chapter: 4 – Let The Immaturity Begin!)
It was finally Friday, as Kasey sat on her bed unsure of what to pack. Her father stood at her door. The young brunette ran a hand through her hair and winced when a dozen or so strands became loose and fell to the floor. Quietly she slipped on a baseball cap.
“You haven’t told Aiden yet have you.” The man leaned against her doorframe, watching his daughter stand and throw another shirt into her duffel bag.
“No, not yet Dad.” She turned to face him, his eyes held an undeniable anguish. “You should tell him Kase, who knows how lon-“ He cut himself off, not wanting to relive the moment he found out. “Tell him soon ok, he deserves to know.” Kasey simply nodded as her father walked toward her and enveloped his daughter in a warm hug. “Have fun this weekend eh, and please try to keep outta trouble.” He pulled back and smiled.
“Thanks Dad. It’ll definitely be interesting, as for staying outta trouble, I’m not promising anything.” The two shared a laugh when her father finally slipped out of her room, leaving her to pack.
When she was suitably satisfied that she hadn’t forgotten anything she jumped into her truck and headed out to Aiden’s.

”God Kase, will you just relax! We can’t all fit in my car so we’ll take your truck.” Kasey was standing next to her Chevy Avalanche. “Aw come on Aid, let’s take two vehicles then!” She whined, running her index across the hood. Kasey was rarely attached to material objects. But this truck was her baby, her pride and joy!
“Seriously, it’s pathetic how much you love that thing. And no, we’re taking the truck!” With that Aiden threw his duffel bag and inflatable mattress into the truck’s box. “I swear dude, one scratch on this lovely little piece of machinery and you will not live to see another day.” She said pointedly, eyes narrowing in his direction.
“Hey guys!” Spencer hopped out of Ashley’s Mustang and bounced towards the arguing cousins. “Let’s hit the trails!” Spencer was a bundle of energy as she tossed her bag to Aiden.
Ashley and Kyla followed the overzealous blonde, both unsure if this camping trip was a good idea. The Davies were far from comfortable being away from every day technology. No blow-dryers, no microwaves, no refrigerators, and worst of all no TV made them a little wary about this outing.
