Within Temptation – (Chapter: 53: Graduation)
Ashley: “Hey lazy. Get up. We have some shopping to get done.”
She grumbled a response. I would have pounced on her and jumped on the new bed, but I was wearing only a towel. I didn’t want to scar my sister for life if it happened to fall off. Spencer on the other hand is a different story. I smiled at the thought.
Ashley: “Come on Kyla!”
Kyla: “It’s so early. Where do you want to go this early.”
Ashley: “In case you haven’t noticed the rest of this house is completely empty. We don’t even have food or dishes. How am I supposed to have my coffee without a coffee pot, coffee, or mugs? I cant even eat breakfast in my own home.”
Kyla: “Mmm, coffee. I am useless without it in the mornings. You know that Ash.”
Ashley: “Little sister I am well aware. I am the same way. Now get up and get ready and I promise to get you Starbucks first thing.”
That was like shaking a container of catnip at a cat. She shot out of bed and ran to the shower. She likes coffee, but her favorite of all time is Starbucks. Can’t say I disagree. I didn’t feel like taking hours to get ready just to go pick out furniture and buy some dishes, so I threw on some jeans, flip flops, and a tight fitting t-shirt. I dried my hair and clipped it on top of my head just in time for Kyla to sleepily walk into my room in the middle of stretching and yawning.
Kyla: “Ready when you are.”
She seemed to have the same idea as me. Her attire was similar to mine, but her hair was down.
Ashley: “Ready.”
I grabbed my keys and we hit the Starbucks drive through. Kyla seemed to wake up the instant the hot coffee graced her lips. I got an ice coffee, but caffeine is caffeine. It didn’t need to be hot to wake me up. We went back to the same furniture store and looked for couches, chairs, lamps, coffee tables, and a dining room table. I don’t know why we didn’t do this the last time we were here. We could have already had a completely furnished loft by now, but we were just excited to get part of it done. We didn’t have to think clearly at all times. In the end it will get done. We had a hard time finding everything we wanted in one place. We managed to pick out the lamps and the dining room table from the first place. I found a recliner I liked, but I didn’t know what the couch was going to look like. I would rather get a matching set. In the process of paying for the new lamps and table I noticed a section of TVs. I hadn’t even thought of that yet. I asked the sales person to excuse me for a moment and I went and picked out the biggest one they had in stock. It was a 60 inch HD plasma screen. I wasn’t sure of the brand, nor did I care. I didn’t spend a lot of time watching TV. This was basically for the use of Spencer or anyone that came over. Speaking of Spencer. My cell vibrated in my pocket and it was a text from my only love. She always texted me on the weekend mornings as soon as she woke up. She knew it wouldn’t wake me and I could respond when ever I crawled out of bed. It said the same thing every morning “good morning sleepy head.“ I swiped my dads credit card and answered the text at the same time. I arranged for the furniture to be delivered and they said they could get it in today if I was home by four. That made me very happy.
