Ashley’s Pov

The next day passed by with ease and I of course spent every moment outside of school with Spencer. At least the weekend was finally here and we had just one more week of school left. Saturday morning I heard a loud knock on the front door to my loft. It scared Kyla and she jumped up which caused her to fall out of bed creating more noise to my already too early wake up. She was tangled in the blankets and they all ripped off of the bed leaving me exposed to the cold that the AC produced so well. I was not a morning person at all, but I couldn’t control my laughter at Kyla. I looked at my clock and it was 10am.

Ashley: “That must be the movers here.”

I heard her mumble a reply and I crawled out of bed. I grabbed my robe off of the closet door to shield myself from the cold air and I was tying it around me as I answered the door. There was one guy standing there with a backwards hat and his stained work shirt had the logo of the company I ordered furniture from.

Mover: “Are you 18 or older?”
Ashley: “I’m 18.”

He looked down at his clip board. He didn’t seem to be paying too much attention to conversation.

Mover: “Good, good. Legally I couldn’t come inside if there wasn’t someone who was 18. Anyway, I need you to sign here.”

He handed me a clip board and I signed the paper at the bottom. I opened the door as wide as it would go and let him inside.

Mover: “So where are we setting up?”
Ashley: “Right this way.”

I lead him through the big empty living room, past the kitchen, and into the empty bedroom.

Mover: “Alrighty. I’ll have your furniture right in.”

I thanked him as he went back out the front door. Within no time he came walking back through the front door with another mover and they easily set the room up. They had asked how I wanted the room to be organized, but I wasn’t too picky. I didn’t plan on being in that room often and I wasn’t sure when anyone else would be staying over, so I left Kyla to choose since she would be the one who was in the room more than anyone else. I walked back to my room and searched through my purse for my wallet. I retrieved some cash and took it to the movers as a tip before I went to shower. I was finished with my shower in 10 minutes and I walked to Kyla’s temporary new room.
