    Spencer’s POV

    I grinned, shaking my head at the girl next to me.

    "What!?" She asked, shrugging her shoulders and arching an eyebrow.

    I stopped in front of her, crossing my arms across my chest and trying to look as serious as possible. Ashley just stood in front of me, smiling from ear to ear looking very pleased at herself.

    "Spence……." she whined. "C’mon, you should be thanking me, I totaly saved your ass back there."

    "You do know, I’ll have to be explaining it to all of them sooner or later."

    "So, explain it to them later! Besides it’s not everyday that you get to be Ashley Davies’ main squeeze" She said. I looked at her, uncertainty and doubt laced over my face. She took a small step towards me, and took hold of my hands. I lowerd my gaze, making her dip down slightly to meet my eyes. "Spence……..trust me. It’s a Friday night, and I just want my best friend to have a great time……. let’s not let Katie ruin this okay."

    I smiled at her and nodded, pulling her in for a hug. Tilting my head to her ear I whispered. " Thanks Ask, your amazing."

     

    We pulled apart, our arms still lazily around each other. She’s feeling restless, something, like she doesn’t know quite what to say. She holds my eyes, then looks down awkwardly. The way I can make her react all nervous and giddy excites me,and I can’t help but laugh.

    " Just say it." I ask

    She looks up at me, neither of us noticing the woman walking over.

    " OH MY GOD!!!" Carol shrieked in excitement, engulfing the two of us in a bone crushing hug. " Katie just told us! Why didn’t you two mention it earlier."

    Ashley and I looked over at each other not knowing what to say.

    "We……Well..umm…..We figured it was obvious?" I replied. The statement coming out more like a question. Ashley shot me a look, that was sooooo stupid, written in her eyes. I shrugged, rolling my eyes at her.

    " Well i’m just glad, you two finally got your act together." Carol said " Oh, come on, the whole table wants to hear about the hookup."

    4. Ooooo, I really just LOOOOVE this fic, its so well written and interesting. It has a different spin. At first, I didn’t want Ash to talk to Katie, but now I’m glad she did. Its time for both of them to face reality and how they really feel; stop hiding. Everybody else can see that Ashley and Spencer belong together. They need to just tell the truth and Ashley needs to get rid of that fiance. Update soon.
