The Pieces That Mattered – (Chapter: 4 years later…)

“Ew. No way.  Maggie, this is Spencer.”  Maggie’s eyes shot wide open.  “No.”  Maggie said shocked.

“Yep.  It’s me.”  Spencer smiled and Maggie pulled the girl into a hug.

“Spencer, you’ve grown up so much.  France has really done wonders to you.”  Spencer smiled and everyone walked in.  The house was the same as Spencer remembers.  It was a nice two story house with a game room that most of the kids of the neighborhood went to hang out in.  There were video games, TV and a pool table.  The outside had a big pool with a spa and an outdoor bar.

“Well if you kids want, I think some of the others are down in the game room.”  Glen and Spencer thanked their hostess and started to walk towards the familiar room.

“So sis, you want me to stick with you?”  Spencer looked up at her brother with a chuckle.

“I think I’ll be okay, Glen.”  Spencer told her brother.

“Well, I’m just saying, when you were in high school you’d always hang out with me, Clay or Ashley and like, never leave our sides.”  Spencer smiled remembering those days.

“I’m not that person anymore Glen.”  Spencer smiled at her brother and he smiled back.

“Alright then.  But I can hang out around you right?”  Spencer laughed playfully hitting her brother on the arm.  They opened the door to the game room.  There weren’t too many people in there.  Some younger kids were playing video games, and the others Spencer didn’t recognize.  Then she saw a young woman come out of the bathroom and she smiled.

“Kyla.”  Spencer called out to the girl.  Kyla turned in the direction of the call and saw Glen and the blond standing there.

“Wow.  Spencer? Is that you? You look amazing!” Spencer nodded and smiled as Kyla came up and the two hugged.

“Yes.  It’s me Glen!”  Glen joked as Kyla playfully slapped his arm and gave him a hug.

“So how have you been?” Spencer asked the girl.

“I’ve been great.  I just graduated from UCLA with a degree in accounting.”

“Wow.  I didn’t realize you liked math that much.”  Spencer laughed and congratulated the girl.

    5. Damn I am good! lol great mind think alike. Anyway I would have though Ashley would have had more emotion about the subject of Spencer than what she did, its to bad shes probably going to get turned down…a lot, because she was a dip-shit. Great post, though looking forward to the next great one.
