    4 years later…

    “Because. My family is there, I got that killer job at the modeling studio, and because…”

     

    “Oh, because of her.  I see how it is, ditching your new best friend for the old one.”  Spencer laughed at the girl.  Amanda knew everything about Ashley because Spencer told her over the years

    “Yeah right.  I haven’t even spoken to her in four years.  Plus she’s probably still living in New York or something.”

    ”Well promise me we’ll talk everyday then.”  Spencer’s eyes started to tear.  It wasn’t just because she was going to miss her friend, but because those were the same promises that her and Ashley had made to each other.

     

    “Promise.”  Spencer said.

     

    “Oh and I almost forgot,”  Amanda started, “you have to show me the pictures, Spence.”  Spencer looked at her friend with wide eyes.

     

    “No.”  Spencer said knowing exactly what she was talking about.

     

    “Spence, you promised.  Must I remind you what you said?”  Amanda looked at the girl who was now blushing and chuckling.

     

    “I will show you my nerdy pictures before we graduate, I promise.”  Amanda said in her best ‘Spencer’ voice.  Spencer had always told Amanda how gawky she was in high school and since Amanda only knew Spencer after her ‘change’ she always wondered what Spencer had looked like.  She was certain that Spencer couldn’t have possibly been that bad because the girl was gorgeous now.  Anyways, Spencer had promised Amanda one night that before graduation she would show her how weird she used to be, and Amanda hadn’t forgotten that promise.

     

    “Fine.” Spencer said keeping her word to her best friend.  She went through her closet and pulled out an old shoebox.  “Oh god, I haven’t opened this in four years.”  Spencer said chuckling.  Amanda grabbed the box from Spencer and opened it.

     

     “Okay which one are you?”  Amanda was looking at a picture of Spencer in her sophomore year of high school.

     

    “I’m behind that girl right there.”  Amanda’s eyes widened.  She was trying to hold back the laughter but it didn’t work.

     

    “Spence, I know you warned me but, this doesn’t look like you at all.”  Her face was now shocked as she was going through the pictures.  “Is this Ashley?”  Spencer’s heart started to beat quickly.   She hadn’t seen a picture of Ashley in a while.

    3. Ok, so I just caught up on this story and I REALLY like it. I agree with dawniekey, you can tell Spence isn’t over it, and neither is Ashley. I can’t wait till they talk. I hope you update 3 times in a row like you did today, LOL. This story is great, PMASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway I would have though Ashley would have had more emotion about the subject of Spencer than what she did, its to bad shes probably going to get turned down…a lot, because she was a dip-shit. Great post, though looking forward to the next great one.
