The Perfect Start – (Chapter: chapter 10- The truth comes out)

“Cant I’ve got plans” Spencer said. It was true. Sky had invited her and the some of the cheer leaders for dinner.

    “Oh. Some one special?”

“Yes, as a matter of fact” it wasn’t a lie.

Ashley stared at her for a long time, and spencer looked up and stared bak.

    “Who?” Ashley asked

“That’s none of your damn business” spencer said quickly, let her think what she wanted

    “Hot date?”

    “Maybeee..” ‘god I’m good’

“ well, lucky you… I guess I’ll see around then” Ashley said and turned around and walked to the gym. She was goanna shoot around.

Her last class ended at 3 and she went home and laid in her tube and just let the sun soak  her up. She needed a little peace and quite time. She had all these thoughts running through her head about work, friends, marriage, Ashley… she was one of the most biggest concerns to her. She was a good person but a player at that, and she had been hurt recently but her ex who in face was a PLAYER also. She just couldn’t go through it twice.

She wore black jeans and a nice blue top that went perfect with her eyes. Turing into sky’s driveway, she saw Ashley’s convertible. ‘Damn it’

She rang the door bell and went inside. They were on the patio and she could see the three girls sitting in chairs and drinking some soda and some beer. Sky waved to her and Spencer forced a smile back refusing to meet the eyes of Ashley.

“Spencer how are you?” she asked

    “Good sky thanks”

“Hi” Ashley said good-naturally, and Spencer gave her a quick “Hello” not meeting her eyes

“Spencer, Ashley tells me you two haven’t done anything together. I’m surprised you two are the same age and single. Why haven’t you two gone out to dinner?”

    Spencer looked at Ashley

“I thought you knew people here?”

“ No, not really, no one special” Ashley had an amused look in her eyes

Spencer cursed under her breath, her lies! Would she ever learn?

“Well I’m not sure we have the same interests” she said vaguely

Sky looked back and forth through out the conversation from one to the other
