The One Who Changed My World – (Chapter: 9)

“Spencer, have you ever even been to a gay club?” Angela asked.

“Well, no I guess not,” she replied feeling defeated.

“That settles it then, we’re going to a gay club tonight!” Angela exclaims. “Oh wait, I forgot we’re not just three amigos anymore. Am I going to be playing the third wheel?”

“No Ang,” I chuckle at her. “Spencer and I can behave ourselves if we have to you know?”

“Mhmmmm,” she responds disbelieving as she looks us up and down. Spencer has migrated to lean up against the arm of the couch with her feet up and knees bent and I’m sitting comfortably nestled in between them as she plays with my hair and places soft kisses on the top of my heard every now and then. I hadn’t even noticed we moved.

“Oh, sorry,” I reply. “Maybe we’re not that good at staying away from each other. But I don’t want to go to the gay club tonight anyways. Aiden’s been really bumming lately and I want to take him out to cheer him up.”

“Ugggh, count me out then,” Angela says.

“What? Why?” I ask in disbelief. “Since when don’t you like Aiden. I thought he was like, a total babe?” I ask mocking her girly tone.

“Well he is, but he’s a total creep too Ash. Honestly, why are you even friends with him?”

“Ang, he’s not a creep at all,” I defend my best friend. “He’s actually a really nice guy, why would you think that?”

“Well, he was a creep on Valentine’s Day at least,” she says sure of herself.            “How so?” I asked curiously. Aiden had said they didn’t click, but he never said why.

“I got up to use the bathroom and when I came back, he was going through my purse!” she said angrily. “And when I asked him why, to at least give him a chance to explain, he couldn’t even try to answer it! I don’t know if he was going to steal from me or just look through my stuff, but that’s not okay with me.”

I think about this and immediately realize what happened as I mutter out, “Aiden, I’m going to kill him.”
