It was one of those moments that you want to take everything in and I didn’t want to forget a thing.  Knowing that in just a short amount of time the moment would be over and all I would have left would be memories made me focus on every little detail.  God, if I could just stop time for a bit. 

I still had my forehead resting on Ashley’s as we sat by the pool.  There was no talking, nothing but the sounds of the California evening.  We were letting our hands roam…so gently.  Finger tips grazing lips and cheeks.  Hands sliding down arms and intertwining fingers.  Eyes searching and following the paths our hands were taking.  Lips lightly brushing skin, tasting.  The smell of lotion on skin and shampoo in hair. The sensuality of just sitting there and letting our senses memorize every feature they could was overwhelming.

I felt my hands start to shake as I traced Ashley’s toned abs.   It was sensory overload.  I was turned on, I was scared…..I was falling in love.  The realization of if hit me hard.  At that moment all I wanted to know was if she felt the same and the thought of asking was beyond my vocabulary.  I was scared to know her answer whether it was the same as mine or not.  Her hands reached for mine steadying their shaking.

“Hey are you ok?  You cold or something?” she asked me gently.

“No, I am definitely not cold” I said bring her hands wrapped in mine to lips and kissing them. “I am just a little caught up in everything I am feeling right now.  I don’t mean to sound all pathetic and over emotional, but the things you make me feel are really intense.”

Ashley laughed and brushed some strands of hair out of my face and behind my ear.

“I have never though of you as the ‘oooey-goooey’ over emotional type…quite the opposite actually.  I will take it as a complement that I am rocking your world”

“Ashley, your modesty is so charming.” I said teasingly.  She just smiled a cocky grin.  Ugh..that cocky smile even turned me on.  “Come on, walk me home”
