Sneak A Peek – (Chapter: Four)

"Ashley," she sighs and I watch as her hand goes to open the car door.

I attempt tp pull her back in but she pushes me away. The next best thing for me to do is to follow her out. I know that if I grab onto her she will have to listen, because I’m stronger then she is. Her back is facing me as she storms away in anger. I still dont understand why shes so upset.

"I love you," I blurt out, not thinking. I tend to do that a lot. You cant blame me, she wanted to know the truth and I gave her what she wanted. Telling her gently doesnt matter because in the end, I love her, plain and simple. That’s the only way to put it.

"Wha…what?" I think thats what she gets out. It came out in more of a moan, then words. And it was somewhat low, so I couldnt understand. Her eyes were staring straight into mine, and I was hoping that she saw how sincere and honest I was being.

By this time, she wasnt moving anymore, so I slowly but surely make my way over to her. Words still arent coming out of her mouth, I think she is too shocked to speak. I dont blame her.

"Look, I just…" I begin after a while. My hands reach over and softly rest on her shoulders. She doesnt pull away, which surprises me a little. At this point, her eyes had wandered away, and she was gazing off into space. It’s only when I place my fingers underneath her chin does she look at me. "Spencer, I know…"

"Stop!" She talks louder, but it still wasnt a yell. As I was predicting, she roughly shoves my body away from hers, and I stumble back a bit. To tell you the truth, I almost fell over. This was all happening so fast and I wished that my words could come back to me. See, this is why I believe its better to keep feelings inside. Telling people how you really feel always ends up in diaster.

"I’m just trying…" I try to begin again, only to be stopped by the blonde once more.

"No, Ash!" Her head is violently shakin back and worth, and I’m not sure if those are tears in her eyes. Everytime I make an effort to move towards her, she takes a big step back, as if shes terrified of me. Her name keeps moving past my lips, trying to get her to stop freaking out. However, she isnt listening she just keeps saying ‘no, no, no’.

    1. I just started reading this story today and i’ve got to say I love it. I feel bad for Ash cuz she’s really trying, but she’s horrible with words. And i get why Spence doesn’t trust her. Hope you update soon.

    2. i totally love this story! Thank you for being an author who seems to be constantly updating. I’m excited to see how it all plays out. I feel bad for Ash, but she hasn’t been treating Spencer well so I get why Spencer isn’t jumping up and down with joy. I think if Ash just shows a little bit of her softer side, it might warm spencer up to the idea.
