Chapter Forty-Six
Ashley kept her eyes straight on the road as they made their way through the L.A. traffic to the restaurant. She had held her tongue about the conversation she had overheard earlier between Spencer and Marco something that was not easy to do.
She had wanted to pull over multiple times and demand answers from Spencer but she wasn’t sure if she could handle the situation if the answers turned out to be ones she didn’t want to hear. She couldn’t believe that Spencer would even think about not marrying her.
Spencer could feel a strong tension in the air as they drove. She wanted to sit Ashley down and talk to her at the house but for some reason the timing was off or rather her own cowardly side had taken over. She didn’t know how the dinner was going to go but she knew that she needed to try to keep things calm.
After about a forty-five minute drive, they pulled up to the low-key Italian restaurant that Spencer always enjoyed going to. The name Vinny’s was illuminated above the front doors and the smell in the air was so inviting.
Ashley parked the car and stepped out of the car. She walked over to Spencer’s door and held it open giving her hand to Spencer. She was damned if she wasn’t going to show how civil and caring she could be to the blonde. Spencer smiled at Ashley as she stood with the assistance of her fiancée.
Ashley locked up the car and offered her arm to Spencer. Spencer slid her arm through Ashley’s and they headed towards the doors. Ashley opened the door for Spencer and they made their way to the hostess stand.
The young girl behind the stand looked up and immediately recognized Ashley. Her face had a wide smile as she stared at the brunette.
“I’m sorry…I…I…” She couldn’t speak and Ashley smiled at the girl.
“It’s ok…we are meeting someone…” Ashley said to the flustered girl.
“Oh…right…umm…what name were the reservations under? Obviously it wasn’t under your name because then I actually would have had time to compose myself before looking like a complete babbling idiot.”

wow..is it sad that I don’t feel bad for Spencer? but then me not feeling bad for Spencer makes me actually feel bad for Spencer. Was she in the wrong? HELL YES! but is she only human? yes! So I dunno..I mean she just better make this up to me too…because yeah..she needs too!! *sticks tounge out at SPENCER*!!!!
I’m all upset now. Thanks a lot for that. Spencer messed up big time. She’s going to have to do some groveling to get Ashley back. She better not have any more feelings for Jessica.
