“she’s not good enough for you?!” I said mocking her “…I don’t want you saying things like that to me Ashley…that’s not fair to me…and that’s not fair to Brooke either…” I told her then Aiden came out

“everything ok?” he asked looking between the two of us

“can you give me a ride home?” I asked him

“yeah…come on” he said putting my arm around me then we walked right past Ashley and got into his car “you want to talk about it?” he asked me

“she actually had the nerve…she comes up to me and whispers into my ear ‘she’s not good enough for you’…” I told him furious “…she can’t do that to me Aiden…she promised she wouldn’t” I said “…I mean, I know she’s the only one that will ever be good enough for me and I fucked that up and I have to live with that every single day…the last fucking thing I need is for her to remind me” I added

“she shouldn’t have done that…” he said “…I agree with you, but I don’t know where you two are supposed to go from here on out…you know you messed up and you shouldn’t have left, but I don’t know…something tells me you’ll be together again, but I don’t want to get hopes up…” he told me

“that night she gave me the ring…the whole wedding I wanted and everything just rushed through my head and it crushed my heart…” I told him

“I know…” he said “…I know” then his phone rang “hello? Hey…yeah I’m taking her home…no…yeah I know about it…I think you were wrong…yes you were and you know it…I cant talk now…bye” he said then he hung up

“was it Ashley?” I asked him

“yeah…” he said putting his phone back in his pocket “…she was just checking up on you and stuff…”

“you know I thought about her every single day for two years Aiden…”

“then why didn’t you call?” he asked

“because I didn’t know what to say…” I told him as we pulled up to my apartment “…thanks for the ride home” I said

“no problem…and if you need to talk to someone…just give me a call” he said smiling at me
