    “well…Ashley’s not handling it well…did you guys talk about it?”

    “kind of…” I told him

    “for some reason I think it’s affecting her more than you…”

    “maybe because she’s engaged…” I mentioned

    “yeah that and…I think you being back here is hard on her…I mean she never really had a choice whether to get over you or not…she had to get over you because she didn’t know if you were coming back…” he told me

    “so…what are you saying?”

    “did she ever give you the ring?” he asked me

    “uh yeah…” I told him

    “she bought that when you two were broken up…she was so convinced she’d marry you Spencer…” he explained

    “yeah but now Aiden…we just…there’s nothing we can do…” I told him

    “well whatever you two do…you know I’m always on your side, whether what you do is right or wrong…” he told me getting up and I walked over by him and gave him a hug

    “thanks Aiden…”

    “I love you spence…”

    “love you too” I told him

    “so…back into the madness?” he asked

    “guess so” I told him laughing then we walked back out to the party together and I looked over at the bartender then I glanced at Ashley talking to all the reporters and artists…so I walked over to the bar

    “hey there…” the bartender said

    “hey…” I told her “…so, busy night?” I asked her

    “you have no idea…” she said laughing “…but hey, whatever pays the rent…”

    “I know the feeling” I said smiling at her “I’m Spencer by the way”

    “Nicole…” she said “and it’s nice to meet you Spencer…”

    “likewise…” I replied then we ended up talking for a while and before I knew it nearly everyone that was at the party was gone

    “hey…you ready?” Ashley asked standing next to me

    “uh…actually I think I’m gonna stay…so um…goodnight…” I said to her

    “ok…” she said simply then she whispered in my ear “…she’s not good enough for you” she told me then she briefly looked into my eyes and walked away and with those words she ripped my heart out again…so I went after her and she was on the carpet when I went through the doors

    “hey!” I yelled getting her attention and she turned around “don’t do that!” I told her

    1. everything is so messed up. I hate that Ashley is essentially hurting herself by staying in her relationship with Brooke. I also hate that Brooke is going to end up hurt. More than anything, I hate the toll this whole thing is taking on Spencer. Wow. Awesome update. I love this story and I love you, you’re really incredible! pms!

    4. oh my god. i don’t know what to say. everything seems so wrong. and everytime ashley got confused, she ran to anyone that available at current time. she needs to make up her mind, between brooke or spencer. and whatever her decision is, i hope it’s the best for 3 of em. since everyone’s the victim in this scenario.
