    “Because that bastard beats her and I don’t care if I do go jail. I would do it again and more. It was so worth it.”

    I am so relieved that my last shift is finally going to be over in an hour. I was completely exhausted. This being a Dr. is a tremendous amount of work but definitely extremely rewarding. I just wish it wouldn’t cramp my personal life as much as it does. If I had a normal job I would have been able to see my baby every day, then again I wouldn’t of been to treat her. I’m exhausted. I just want to go home, sleep for a few hours and then go see her. I’ve really missed her.

    Madison and I are walking to the cafeteria for a cup of coffee and she snaps me out of my thoughts when she snaps her fingers in front of my face and says, “Earth to Spencer. Come in, Spencer.”

    I shake my head a little and smile apologetically as I say, “Sorry, Maddy. I was just thinking about how I can’t wait to get out of here.”

    “Do you have any plans for your time off?” Madison asks as we walk in to the cafeteria

    “Why?” I ask raising an eyebrow as I grab a cup in front of the coffee machine

    “I was wondering if you wanted to hang out.” Maddy asks as she fills up her cup

    “Maybe. I’ll give you a call.” I say in a non-committal tone. She knows that Ashley and I have been seeing a little of each other but I hadn’t told her about what happened in our last visit. For whatever reason I didn’t want to tell her. I guess telling her would make me feel like I was betraying the trust Ashley’s placed in me and that’s one thing I would never want to do.

    Madison brings my mind back to her when she says, “You’re going to be busy with your new love, huh?”

    I can’t help but blush and Madison takes it as confirmation of her earlier statement. Maddy knows me so well. She just smiles and says, “I thought so. It’s cool. If you let me I’d love to get to know her better.”

    As we pay for our coffee I say, “I’d like that too, Maddy. I just don’t think it’s going to be very soon. We’re just friends right now and she’s kind of going through something right now.”

    5. great update.. i absolutely loved how spence kicked aiden in the balls awesome!! i’m glad she was able to convince ash not to bail aiden out of jail and to finally leave him. i just hope it works out okay.hey you notice that just about in every fic i’ve read kyla’s always interrupting our lovely spashley duo?haha again great update!!!pms!!

    7. you left me in tears. this was by the fr the part of the story. i was so happy when aiden was getting rrested. and then when ashley said she was going to bail him out. i almost had a heart attack. and then spencer and ashley. and the kissing. and the talking. way too cute. haha. anyways ive lost myself in this story so just PMS :]

    14. this fic is so awesome! great update…I love the way everything is unfolding and the fact that you’re staying true to what battered women actually feel. they feel lost and confused. gosh this story is great. i love that spencer takes such great care of ashley. this is quickly becoming my favorite fic on the site.

    15. That ending was just so friggin cute! For a minute it made me forget about the whole Aiden thing. I’m glad Ashley’s finally accepting that Aiden’s not what he use to be. And I’m REALLY glad Spencer was there to protect Ashley. I just wish Ash would have pressed charges. Well, things are happening little by little, so I guess that’s good. Anyway, Great Update, PMASAP!!!!!!
