    “She may love you but she’s in love with me. There’s a huge difference. So I suggest you back off.” I sneer

    “That sounds great.” Allison smiles

    “Look, I’m only going to get 4 days off and I really wanted to spend it with Ashley. Alone.” I say

    “Oh come, Spencer. It’s just one night. You haven’t spent anytime with me outside the hospital in months.” Madison whines

    UGH! Now she’s making me feel guilty.

    “It’ll be fun Spencer and I promise to be on my best behavior.” Allison adds

    I roll my eyes and nod my head making them both shriek, “Yay!!!’

    Then our pagers go off. Madison quickly gets up and I say to Allison, “I guess I’ll see you later.”

    “Definitely,” Allison smiles

    With that we leave. On my way up to the E.R. I can’t help but hope that this isn’t a mistake.

    It’s 5:30 pm and I just got out of band practice. It went okay with the only snag being creative differences between me and the guitarist. But we worked them out and now I’m on my way home and she’s going to be home when I get there. YAY!!! I’ve missed her so much. I know this is all part of her job but I swear sometimes I hate it with a passion. It keeps her away from me for so much time at a time. She calls a lot and I go take her lunch whenever she has time. But sometimes I feel lonely. However she makes up for it when we are together. Boy does she ever. She spends all her time with me and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve never been this happy in my life.

    When I open the door to her apartment I call out, “Spence, babe are you home.”

    No response. I walk into the living room looking for her and see her laying on the couch sound asleep. Aww, my poor baby. She’s always so exhausted when she gets off work. I know I should definitely let her sleep but I just can’t help it. I need to touch her. So I walk over to her, kneel beside the couch and begin to rain soft kisses all over her lovely face. Hmm, it doesn’t take long for me to get a reaction.

    “Mmm,” Spencer murmurs seemingly still asleep

    I just smile against her skin and begin to nuzzle her neck. Soon I feel gentle fingers behind my neck. I keep doing what I’m doing and murmur against her soft skin, “Hey babe.”
