    “Maddy, why did you tell her to meet us for lunch?” I snap at my supposed best friend as we get on the elevator to make our way to the hospital cafeteria

    “Because you guys got to talk, Spencer. Allison has been trying to get a hold of you forever and you haven’t answered your phone or called her back. Come on Spencer you guys have known each other forever. She‘s sorry for what she did and would like to make it up. Besides I don‘t like seeing two of my closest friends estranged.” Madison snaps back

    I close my eyes and try to rein in my irritation at Maddy’s set up. I know she has the best intentions in mind but I still can’t help but feel cornered. UGH!! I’ve been so wrapped up in Ashley and work that I really hadn’t given Allison a second thought. I mean I saw her calls and heard all her messages but I was just too busy but to be truthful I just didn’t want to deal with her.

    It’s been 2 months since Ashley and I went to Disneyland and two weeks after that I went back to work. Things have been going really great between us. Most of the time she stays with me at my place. She hasn’t gone back to hers because she says it hurts too much. So Kyla and I went over there, packed up her stuff and Kyla is taking care of selling it. Ashley right now is in the process of finding another place but to tell you the truth I really don’t like that idea. I’d love for her just to stay with me but I just can’t bring myself to make the suggestion. I mean I don’t want to pressure her or anything. Our relationship is really passed the dating stage but I haven’t gotten the guts to ask her to officially be my girlfriend. I’m really, really scared and nervous. I’m almost positive she’ll say yes but I can’t help but worry that something will make her say no. I just don’t know. She’s going to counseling to deal with her past and she’s putting a band together. In fact she has her first gig in a week and a half. We’re both so excited. I take it back I’m excited and she’s a nervous wreck. After the gig I’m planning on asking her to officially be my girlfriend. I just hope the night is very special. I actually managed to get that night off. It came at a very hefty price since now I was going to have to cover Jenkins for 2 straight weekends the following month but I don’t care. It’s so worth. I can’t wait to hear her sing and to get my answer.
