Spencer and Nick were in their history classroom.  Ashley walked into the classroom.  “Oh,” Ashley said.

“Ashley,” said Spencer.

“Hey Spencer,” Ashley said.

“Hey,” said Spencer.

“How are you?” Ashley asked casually.

“Good,” answered Spencer.  “How are you doing?”

“T-that’s good,” Ashley stated.  “I’m good, too, Spencer.”

“Yeah, it is,” said Spencer.  “It’s good you’re good.”

“Uh I’ll leave the dynamic duo to talk then,” Ashley replied.  “So I’ll see you later at lunch?”

“Yep,” stated Spencer.

“Good,” Ashley said.  Ashley walked away and almost walked into a door.  Nick looked at Spencer amused.

“What?” asked Spencer.

“Nothing, nothing, Spencer,” Nick answered with a laugh.  “What the hell happened between you two?  Did you two have a thing?”

“A long and complicated story that I am still trying to process,” sighed Spencer.

“I like long stories,” Nick pointed out.  “What’s new?  You never told me what happened on that date with Carmen at Gray a couple of weeks ago.  Was Ashley there, too?”

“Ashley finally dumped Madison and told me that she wants to be with me,” explained Spencer.

“Did she say that in front of Carmen?” Nick questioned with curiosity. 

“No, she didn’t,” responded Spencer.  “Ashley freaked out on Carmen when Carmen kissed me.  I had to stop the fight and pulled Ashley to the bar.  Ashley admitted that she was in love with me.  She kissed me so now I’m stuck within a love triangle and am dying to get out of it.”

“Spencer, it sounds more like the Bermuda triangle,” Nick joked.  “Wow, a day in the life of Spencer Carlin.  You miss a little, you miss a lot.  So it explains why Ashley had the cuts and bruises on her face.”

“Carmen didn’t even get a swing for the fight,” pointed out Spencer.  “Madison did.”

“I knew the girl was scary,” Nick stated.  “So if your crush finally admits her love for you, why are you with Carmen?”  Spencer sighed in exasperation.

“Ashley… well at one minute can be sweet and wonderful, but who knows what the girl would do next?” asked Spencer with curiosity.  “I love that she’s unpredictable and all, but it’s also something that I hate about her.  She’s bailed out on me several times.  It does add to her hotness factor though.”  Nick laughed.
