Nowheresville – (Chapter: Men in White Coats: Chapter 9)

Spence and I fell asleep on my couch downstairs.

I am wrenched from my peaceful sleep by someone breaking down the door to the den. My mother comes in trailing two big scary guys in white coats.

"Get up you’re leaving! I can’t deal with you! I won’t have a daughter that’s a dyke and a demon! GET UP!" my mother bellows at me. I hold tight to Spencer whose eyes are black. She’s glaring at my mother. I won’t let them take me from her. The lights on the fan above the mens heads expolde and glass flies everywhere. Spence and I stand up holding hands.

What do we do? How are we supposed to beat them? What if we fling them through the door and make a run for it.

Spencer looks at the men with the scariest look I’ve ever seen. I concentrate on helping Spencer. Electricity crackles in the air as the men and my mother go flying through the sun-porch door. Spence and I run up the stairs and unlock my kitchen door. We’re almost at the end of my driveway when a big white van pulls up and we smack into it. Two more men in white jump out and grab me and Spencer. The taller one pushes Spence to the ground as I am bound to a stretcher. I am so PISSED! I kick the taller guy in the nuts and send him flying into my neighbors truck. Spencer flings the guy tying me up into a tree. He runs over to help his buddy. Spence has one of my feet untied when they get up and pry her off of me.

"NO, SPENCER! SPENCE DO SOMETHING! SPENCER!" I scream as they push my stretcher into the truck. My neighbors truck explodes. Blue flames melt the tires. I look over to Spence and she’s on the ground not moving. "SPENCER! NO! WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER? LET ME GO! I HAVE TO HELP HER!" I scream thrashing around jerking the straps. My world goes darkat the edges as I feel a sharp pain in my arm.

"Spencer!" is the last thing I say before the darkness closes in on me.

    Spencer’s POV

The sound of screeching tires and a deffening BOOM tare me from the darkness. I look around as I put a hand up to my head.
It’s cloudy and I hear thunder in the distance. Standing up I see skid marks and take off down the street. My hair whipping my face, I stumble to a stop at the end of the road. No more marks, no more thunder. I don’t know which way to go. She’s gone! They took her! The only person who cared. How can they do this to me? What am I supposed to do without her? I feel so empty.I will find you! I look up at the gray sky and rain pours down. I fall to the curb defeated my chest tight for lack of oxygen. I puff my inhaler and sucome to the tears.
