Ashley: For what babe?

Spencer: For wasting all my time on Carmen. You’re like my best friend aside from Gabi and I let us just fade away.

Ashley: Shh.. Don’t worry about it Spencer. You’re here now. That’s all that matters. Let’s just go to sleep.

Spencer: mMm k. Night Ash.

I placed a kiss on her cheek and rested my head on her shoulder. She pressed her body closer to mine [if that was even possible] when I whispered a “Goodnight beautiful” into her ear. I was dozing off when I realized, I had a lot of fixing to do. Carmen broke this girl into pieces. The girl who in my eyes was an angel and in hers was playing the role of Cinderella. Just without the happy ending. Time to make my own happy ending….

Mike: Ahhhhhh!!!

I woke up at 3 in the morning to the sound of Mike crying and screaming. Spencer, Gabi, and Madison shot up from the bed/couch and ran over to his bed. I picked him up and started rocking him in my arms trying to get him to go back to sleep.

Mike: Mommy can I go night night in your bed?

Ashley: Of course baby.

Madison and Gabriella were on the couch again and falling asleep. I got on the bed with Spencer and we got back into our previous positions.

Mike: Auntie Spencer can you hold me?

Spencer: Sure thing buddy.

I smiled at how loving she was. She never fails to amaze me. After being hurt so much how could she still manage to love? She snuggled her self into my body and soon enough I had fallen back into a deep sleep. The next morning, I woke up before anyone else. Well anyone over the age of 5. Mike was sitting in front of the TV watching cartoons as always.

Ashley: *whispering* Morning. You hungry bud?

Mike: Mhmm.

I picked up my mini-me and walked downstairs and into the kitchen. I made him his usual oatmeal and bottle and I was cooking pancakes for everyone else. As I was finishing my last batch, Madison, Gabriella and Spencer all came down the stairs. Spencer’s black eye was more visible and it just caused me more pain. Unconsciously, I walked over to the cabinet and grabbed some cream from the first aid kit. The girls sat down in front of the counters that I was behind. I turned around and started applying cream to Spencer’s eye. Madison and Gabriella were just watching me and out of the corner of my eye I could see that they were smirking.
