My smile falters with you – (Chapter: three’s a crowd)

Spencer was once again in the quad taking the final bites out of her apple, she was the first to arrive at their table and was waiting for the rest of the group to turn up. She saw the newest member to their group making her way over. Spence had taken the last month to get to know Sophia and she was glad that she had because she was a really nice girl, she was funny and complimented the group nicely.

“Well hello missy.” Soph said as she took her sit the opposite side of Spencer who smiled back her. It had felt awkward the first few weeks speaking to the blonde but they had slowly over come it and now they were in a good place. “You coming to Logan’s tonight?” She asked at she removed the bottle of coke from her bag.

“Logan’s?” Spencer looked puzzled this was the first she was hearing of this.

“Did Ash not tell you? Jesus I give her one job and she can’t even do that, I say we trade her in for a friend who doesn’t have a memory like a sieve.” Spence smiled but she still wanted to know what’s going on. “There is an open mic night, and I was saying we should check it out and maybe Ash could have a go at some point.”

The shy girl was a little hurt that Ashley had not said anything to her about it considering they had gone out the previous night together. For a moment she thought it might have been because she wanted to go alone with Sophia.

“Girls!” They both turned their gaze to see Aiden coming over. “We on for tonight?” And Spencer mentally kicked herself for doubting Ashley, it was true Ash did have a memory like a sieve she had probably just forgotten. “I can’t wait, walking in there with the hottest women in L.A, I’m a lucky man.”

“Except you aren’t actually with any of them.” Spencer corrected him with a lopsided smile.

“Yes true, but no one in there will know that!” He grabbed the bottle of coke and took a sip.

“Sure you can have some.” Soph responded sarcastically who took it back from him and continued to drink some.
