It Was Suppose to be Special – (Chapter: Three)

I tried really hard to hold back my tears for her as she was finally able to calm her breathing and her tears.

I pulled away slowly as she held onto her self like she was cold. I kept my hands on her arms, making sure she wasn’t going to fall or something…she was a wreck. I looked into her soaked eyes for a minute and wiped away a few tears from her cheeks. Her eyes closed as I did and she gently pushed her cheek to my hand.

I held her cheek in my palm as she opened her eyes.

“C’mon…” I said softly, releasing my hand from her cheek and sliding it around her waist, guiding her to the car and helping her onto the seat.

I closed the passenger door and watched her for a second as she put her seatbelt on slowly.

I finally walked to the driver side and softly plant myself down. I started the ignition and glanced at her quickly as she still held on to herself looking down at the floor.

As I drove I thought about how it was when my father died. I pushed Spencer away at the time when I really needed her the most. I regret all that I had done and hoped that she wouldn’t do that to me.

We finally pulled up to the hospital and we sat in the car in silence for a few minutes.

“Thank you.” I heard her say softly.

“I couldn’t leave you out here by yourself.”

She faces me with a weak, but a sweet smile. I missed her smile.

"No…thank you" she said again, softly.

I smile slightly though I don’t feel like I really deserve that. She means more to me than anything; I’d do anything for her…because I really do love her.

“Oh…here.” I quickly get out of the car and hurry to her side to open the door.

She smiled again as I smiled back tenderly holding her waist as she got out. I guide her slowly out of the car and shut the door. She was okay to walk by herself as she kept hold on to her body still, i walked right beside her. As we walked through the sliding doors I felt the cold air hit me. I hate hospitals they’re so creepy and it’s the place you go when something bad happens.

I couldn’t bear seeing Spencer so sad. I started to reminisce of all the good times and seeing her happy. I was wishing every minute while walking through the lobby with Spencer that she didn’t have to be there or be going through this hard time. The Carlin’s didn’t deserve at all what was going on right now.
