    I Know What You Are

    That was eight days.

It wasn't fears, it was the weirdness. It almost seemed like Renesmee Cullen was just way to perfect. Way to animated for my taste, and obviously, everyone else's. Mr. Cox seemed bull-headed. I had a feeling that I wasn't going to get through to him when I told him I would much rather work by myself. I would choose the pug-lady over him anyday.

I stood up, going to the back, where she sat. Renesmee smiled at me. I smiled back, trying not to bring up her name. I pulled the chair out and moved it away from her when she wasn't looking and smiling at me.

"Hi. I'm Nessie."Renesmee Cullen said, turning toward me and smiled again. There was the same dark bottle in her hand I had seen her at lunch with.

"I'm Sydney. Um, nice to meet you."I said, uneasy. There was an uncertain feeling I could feel at the pit of my stomach. Something that warned me to stay clear from this too-perfect girl. I knew I should listen to it, but it was also easy to ignore and face everything that hit me while I was unprepared.

I threw a look at Jenna. She mouth "sorry" and shrugged. I nodded, turning my attention the assignment, trying not to met her eyes and trying not to think about the eating me part whenever I did. This was going to be a long week.

It started to rain once more. Between the sound of it pouring and Renesmee gripping the table as if she's in pain then slurping more of whatever was in that cup, we managed to get the first part complete by then end of the hour.

I had barely any homework to do, just a paper that was due on Friday. I shoved what I needed in my bag, pulled up my hood and got ready to run outside to my car. All around me, I heard squeals as I quickly ran to my car. I hurried to unlock it and hop in as fast as possible. Once in, I turned up the heat and fixed the volume on the radio.

I wasn't even half way back to Amy's house when the rain stopped raining. I was relieved. Amy came home around five, already knew of my plans.

"I don't want you out there to terribly late, okay?"She said in a firm voice.

"I'll be back before midnight don't worry."I was worried she was going to turn all motherly on me. She wasn't really a parental person. Amy was my fun aunt that let me do anything I wanted when I wanted. She left again right after dinner and I was putting dirty dishes in the dish washer.

By seven, there was knocking on my door. It was Alyssa and Jenna.

    "Ready?"Alyssa asked breathlessly.

"Yeah, just let me get my hoodie."I shrugged a warm, thick brown colored hoodie, grabbed a house key, and locked the door behind me.

We ditched the car at a local cafe then walked the rest of the block. Jaden, David, and some other kids I had seen around but never really took the time to meet were waiting for us.

I wondered what kind of stuff they had planned.

"So what exactly are we doing?"I asked. Alyssa stepped in front of me, walking backwards. Her blue eyes were bright.

"I know it seems like stuff a ten year old would do but it's really fun."She explained. I waited for her to tell me. Alyssa smiled. "We are going to play hide and go seek."
