Dr. Williams exited the small waiting room, leaving everyone in utter disbelief. After pulling themselves together, the Carlins left and made their way to room 119.

" Ash, she wants to see you now.." Paula spoke softly.

Ashley was too wrapped up in her own thoughts to realize, that the whole Carlin clan had walked back into the waiting room. Slowly she stood up, and made her way towards Spencer’s room.

Ashley stands by the door, not knowing what to say or do. She focused on the small figure lying on the bed, and on all the new machines and equipment surrounding her.

" Hey baby" Spencer’s voice croaked. " Come here and lay next to me"

Ashley walked over to the bed, and slid in next to Spencer, making sure to avoid all of the I.V. and tubing cluttered around the blonde. She scooted up close to her, until their faces were inches away. Ashley slowly brought her hand to Spencer’s face and cupped her cheekk.

" You are so beautiful" She whispered, trying to hold back the tears.

" You are such a bad liar." Spencer joked. " But i’m glad you try."

Ashley formed a small smile, she looked into her girlfriends eyes. All her life she had waited for this feeling. To love and to be loved, and just when she found it,it was being ripped away from her.

" Hey Spence." Ashley said nervously.

" Yeah"

" I love you…"

The worlds tumbled out of her mouth, and for the first time Ashley Davies really meant it. She leaned in and placed a soft kiss on Spencer’s lips, it was innocent, but conveyed all the emotion she was feeling inside. As the broke away from each other, they lay there entwined, foreheads touching.

" Spence—-" Ahley said looking at her girlfriend.

" Yes, love" Spencer said, placing a small kiss on her girlfriends nose.
