Give Up Forever To Touch You – (Chapter: 3)

Oh that’s right. Maybe it was because to one person she could never be the perfect woman. To one person she had failed.

On a break from Medical school Spencer had come home for the week bringing along with her Annie, her girlfriend at the time. Annie had agreed to keep their relationship quiet because Spencer had still yet to come out to her mom. One day when Paula had been in town picking up groceries, Annie kissed Spencer in front of the kitchen window wrapping her arms lovingly around her girlfriend’s body. A cracking sound came from the front yard. Spencer, startled, looked out the window only to see her mother standing their, a dozen cracked eggs at her feet. Paula Carlin would never look at her daughter the same way again.

But that’s the price you pay for choosing to be gay, as Paula put it. As long as Spencer chose to be gay, Paula wanted nothing to do with her. If you can’t see that what you are doing is wrong then you belong in hell.

Spencer never returned to her house since that day. She took out a loan and paid the rest of her way through medical school on her own. Her father tried to help her out but to no avail. She loved him dearly, but she knew she couldn’t put him in the middle of this.

“Can I get you another Miss?” the bartender asked the blonde girl.

“Make it two” she replied finishing off the golden liquid in her glass slamming it back down on the counter. Not only had she failed her mother, but she failed Tom as well.

The blanket of night was now upon the city, Aiden and Ashley walked down an aisle of a liquor store situated in the middle of the city. Aiden looked curiously at the boxes of sugarcoated treats.

“Have you ever been seen Aiden?” the girl implored.

Aiden looked up at Ashley across the aisle, “You’re looking at me” he replied matter-of-factly.

Ashley rolled her eyes, frustrated, “No, not by me and not by the dying or the delirious”, she paused almost nervous about what she was going to ask him, “Have you ever been seen, like you were a man?”
