I haven’t talked to Ashley in a week. My dream really freaked me out, so I thought if I don’t talk to her, it won’t happen. Maybe I’m just being stupid, but what if I’m not? She’s texted me everyday at least, and tried to call every other day. I feel bad about avoiding her, but I don’t know what else to do. I mean, if she is the daughter of Hades, I am forbidden to talk to her. Even thinking about her is forbidden. I’ve been thinking about her for the past week, and it’s driving me crazy! I have to get out.

“Hey Glen.”

“Yeah?”

“Is there um, any parties going on tonight?”

“Yes, why?”

“Can I go with you?”

“Spencer, it’s a swimming party, you don’t like to swim, you’d be in the house by yourself.”

“So? I need to get out of the house. Please?” I gave him my best pout, and he caved.

“Fine, I’m leaving in 30 minutes, be ready by then.”

“Thanks.”

I’ll probably be bored out of my head, but it’s better than staying here with her on my mind. I just put on a t-shirt and basketball shorts, it’s not like I’m trying to impress anyone. Glen yelled at me to come, so I went downstairs and we drove off.

Whoever said that sitting inside by yourself isn’t fun, they lied. I’m getting a kick out of just watching people outside being stupid. Gods if only they could see themselves. I brought my picture I’m working on to pass time, and I must say, it looks pretty amazing. It’s just coloring hair is pretty difficult. Curly hair is the worst. I was practicing drawing the curly hair when I heard someone say.

“So, I take it you don’t like swimming either.”

I turn around to find out that it was Ashley, and she looked amazing. She had on short shorts and a tank, but still.

“Yeah, well, it’s basically a big bucket of rain..”

“Exactly.” She smiled. God I’ve missed talking to her.

“So where have you been for like the past week?” She asked.

“Oh um.. just busy is all, getting ready for school and such.”

“You know you’re a terrible liar right?” She grinned.
