Spencers pov

My arm feels like it being pulled out of its socket, Maddie is dragging me off the dance floor into the entrance hall where its deserted with the exception of some drunk girl passed out on a large sofa.
Maddie: “ What was that all about Spence” she asked more calmly now we were alone.

Spencer: “ I was just dancing Madds” I say feeling a lot more sober than I did ten minutes ago when I was grinding on Ashleys leg, I blushed a bit at the memory.

Maddie: “ Yeah I caught the dancing bit, I also caught who it was with” she said angrily.

I look down at my feet and shuffle from side to side wondering what to say, she was my best friend after all

Maddie: “ Is this revenge or something?”  Maddie asked in a hurt tone

Spencer: “ No Madds how can you even ask that..id never want to hurt you!” I reply pissed off that she’d think that of me.

Spencer: “ You hurt me remember Madds, not the other way around you chose her over me! “ Im shouting now, I don’t know where all this is coming from ive bottled it up for so long but it was all coming out now and I had no chance of stopping it.

Maddie: “ I know I know im sorry Spence I never wanted to hurt you” she cries out trying to bring me closer to her.

Maddie: “ I was so in love with Ashley at the time though, I couldn’t think straight !! I totally disregarded your feelings and it wasn’t fair of me Spence” she says to me with tears still flowing down her pretty cheeks.

Spencer: “ Madds its ok, its in the past now” I try and reassure her and move in to hug my friend. Yes it had hurt like a bitch when I lay my heart on the line all those years ago to Maddie and she chose Ashley but I gained a great friend out of it all. Of course it took time to get over her and with that time I decided to jump back in the closet, only Maddie knew about my declarations of love for her and she had promised to keep it between us. A few months after my confession I sat her down and told her it had all been a terrible mistake and I had just been confused she accepted this without question when I started dating Aiden. It was so easy with him, he wasn’t like other guys he didn’t push me for sex infact we rarely made out it was more the two of us hanging out and having a laugh and it suited me just fine till tonight. Those old feeling were resurfacing, ones I though I laid to rest a long time ago!
