Die For Love
~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~
After my bath I decided to go meet with my Father. I prepaired myself for more bad news so there wouldn't be any suprises. I entered the dinning hall at sat down at the table as I was greeted by Jacob who was also seated at the table. "Hello Isabella." He said with a smile on his face. "Hello, Father what is this about?" "There is some sort of beast roaming the woods, it will no longer be a good idea for you to go riding until this thing is killed." King Charles said as he sipped his wine. "What? I cannot go riding now? That's not acceptable Father. Riding is the only thing that keeps me sane." I said in disbelief. "I forbid you to go riding with out my consent. Isabella, Sir Michael was killed. Apparently he wanted to see you before the wedding. Jacob discovered the body this morning. So you see I do not want that to be you my child, my daughter." I was almost over whelmd with everything that my Father had to say. I was a bit sad that Michael was dead, but I was almost releaved that there would no longer be a wedding, "So does that mean there will be no wedding Father?" I asked as I got up from my chair and walked over to my Father. "There will be no wedding, no treaty, no anything." He said almost disappointed. "Well maybe it was for the better Father." I said. "Yes, maybe. I have a bit of work to get to. I'll be in the study if you need me." My father kissed my check and the exited the dinning room with a few of his guards. Now It was just Jacob and I. I sat down in my Father's chair unsure of what I would now do now that I am unable to go riding. Jacob broke the silence, "That is a magnificent dress that your wearing Isabella. You look very radient in it." He smiled. "Thank you" I said, "If you'll excuse me i would like to go read in the garden. Constence?" " Yes miss?" " Please assist me with getting some books for me to read." I said to her. "Yes miss." I began to walk away with Constence when Jacob yelled out. "Maybe I could speak to your Father about your not being able to ride. Maybe I could convence him that if enough guards go with you, you'll be safe." He said. "And you? Would you too be one of those guards?" I said smiling at him in a girlish way. "Yes Isabella, if that's what you would like." "Then we shall she then. Good day to you Jacob." Constence giggled and then whispered to me, "I think he's smitten by you miss." " In this day and age, any man is smitten by a pretty face. One day you shall see Constence."
