    “You should have had bridesmaids” she added, accusatorily. “I wanted to be one.”

     

    Spencer stopped putting her shoes on for a second and looked at Riley. She had painstakingly explained this all before, but apparently it hadn’t sunk in.

     

    “It’s not that sort of a wedding Ri. There will be no aisle, and nothing to walk down. You’d end up standing around doing nothing.” She went back to putting her shoes on.

     

    “Yeah, but I’d look good doing it” the girl said stubbornly, but she was grinning.

     

    “You get to make a speech at the reception” Spencer pointed out, moving over to sit on the bed. “That’s a big deal.”

     

    “Yeah, if I can remember to talk slow enough”

     

    Spencer giggled. “You’ll do fine” she tousled the hair of her young friend, and then pulled her in for a spontaneous hug. “I’m so glad I get to be officially your family today”

     

    “You already were” Riley snorted. “This is just formality.”

     

    “Yup, but it means a lot to me. We’re family now, good and proper.”

     

    “Yeah” said Riley, eyes shining. She looked happy and Spencer felt her heart lighten. Despite her nerves, the thought of making her family whole, and of dedicating her life to Ashley in front of everyone she loved buoyed her to unbelievable heights. She felt a little giddy. Chelsea handed her a muesli bar,

     

    “Eat or you’ll faint mid ceremony. That never goes down well.”

     

    Spencer forced it down. Edgy as hell, she some how made it through the next few hours. People came and went, doing her hair and make up. Chelsea stood by, holding one hand and being the calm, easy influence Spencer needed. Riley disappeared sometime mid morning, mumbling something about getting ready and Ashley. The time Spencer thought would take an eternity flitted by, and before she knew it, she was standing at the front door, a bundle of highly strung nerves waiting for the car she knew would arrive any second.

     

    She felt a comforting hand on her shoulder, and turned to find a slightly amused Chelsea handing her a cell phone. It was her own phone and she hadn’t even heard it go off.

    2. Great three part update…I did not realize there was more to the Circles story when I was reading the other installments. As I have already told you, you are a fantastic writer and everyone should be leaving comments as they read a story! You are way to talented to go under appreciated. This was a beautiful installment and a perfect compliment to the rest of the story…and a HAPPY ending :-)!!! Looking forward to reading more from you! Hope you got my pm.

    11. I love your portrayal of Ashley in this story. She seems so mature and sure of herself and such a rock. I also find it fascinating the fixation with getting married in these fanfics…since that is not a reality in so many places. I agree with the others…I think you could write more to this story. It is fun to see them happy and honest. I also like your other stories…..so please continue to devote your time to writing :)

    15. HEY! I do have a life! Just not a very big one. :) It’s hard to when you work all day and then go to school all night. Most of it is plopped down in front of a computer, which is why I get so distracted here all the time. Damn fiction! Now, please don’t tell me this is really the end of this story. I’m not saying you need to continue it RIGHT now, but maybe later? Maybe once you get over another fic or two you’ll want to revisit this one? Pretty please? I’ll be your wifey for lifey!

Uni has returned with a vengeance and I fear I will be not around and posting much – so it’ll be so much more special when I do manage to put up a few chapters ;-) I will, however, be checking for your posts, and enjoying the goober/ clomle/ bannerman/ jesus/ bicycle/ god/ randomness that we seem to be so good at! anyways, toodle pip for now – I’ve got bloody work to do, a meal to cook,and a housefull of mates to tend to – bastards! why can’t they crash someone else’s house ;-) I look fwd to more 28 days :-D
