A comfortable silence came over them for a few minutes
before Spencer spoke up

“I um, talked to my friends, before I came here” she
said timidly

“What?!” Ashley’s body jumped up in an anxious matter,

“What did they say? How did it go? Why didn’t you tell
me?”

“Whoa easy turbo. Would you of rather me told you when I
first got here? It’s kind of hard to get a word in
edgewise with you moaning my name… ohhh spencerrrrr” she
mocked her girl friend

Ashley’s eyes widened and her face turned a bright red,
“Now you watch it!” she said pointing a finger at the
blonde who was in a fit of hysterics

“Aw baby..did I embarrass you?” she replied between
laughs, she caressed her cheek and gave her a kiss on her
lips “I’m just kidding, and it went good. Actually it
went better then I ever would have thought.” She said

“What happened?” Ashley asked genuinely interested

“Well I was in my room unpacking and the three of them
came in and sat on my bed, they started by asking me how my
trip was and then it became sufficiently awkward. Then
Nicole spoke up” Spencer said recalling the events

“What did she say” Ashley asked becoming impatient

“She said, “Spencer listen, about last week. We’re
sorry that it panned out the way that it did, we just wanted
to let you know that we don’t care what or who you are,
you’re still our sister and we’re still all best
friends, we’re aren’t as close minded as some people and
we didn’t get a chance to talk to you before you left, so
we’re sorry if you thought you had no one to turn to or
that you couldn’t tell us anything out of fear we
wouldn’t accept you” then we hugged and cried and hugged
some more, cried some more” she said laughing

“Wow you remembered all that?”

“I know right? Then they asked about you”

“What?! Why?”

“Well they were like ‘you’ve just been so happy these
past couple of months, we’ve never seen you so carefree
and well now that we look back on it, guess it was love’
and I kind of just smiled and then they were like tell us”
she smiled at Ashley

“Oh my god so what adjectives did you use to describe me?
Hott, sexy, great lover…”

“Conceited?” Spencer laughed and Ashley couldn’t help
but laugh with her “Believe it or not, they had no idea
that it was you I was seeing. I mean they already love you,
so I just said that you’re so good to me and I don’t
deserve someone like you, and that you are amazing and that
I love you” Ashley’s nose crinkled as she tried to hide
her smile, Spencer saw it though and she tilted her head and
smiled back. Ashley shook her head back and forth

“Ash, I do. I love you, you are amazing” Spencer says
bringing her lips closer to her girlfriends

Ashley closes her eyes and when she opens them Spencer can
see that she’s holding back tears, her face grows
concerned.

“What’s the matter?”

Ashley goes to speak but nothing comes out, she coughs to
clear her throat and tries again, “stop, I’m
fine…really…I’m just so in love with you that it
hurts, I don’t think I could be apart from you for that
long again without talking, promise me that we won’t have
to go through that again?” she asks pleading

“I promise” Spencer leans up to kiss her and slides her
tongue through Ashley’s lips to deepen the kiss…she
pulls away.

“Now let me prove to you just how much it is that I love
you” Spencer said in a low whisper, don’t forget to
throw in the evil yet oh so seductive grin.
