“No, no, no.” Ashley tipped the blondes head up via her chin and looked into Spencer’s beautiful azure eyes. Spencer felt the world shift a little to the better under the gaze of her friend. “You can cry as much as you like. Hell, you can storm and rant and rave and throw things if it’s gonna help. I think you have the right.”
Pressing the heels of her hands to her eyes and wiping away the moisture, Spencer groaned. “I cannot believe this is happening.”
She felt Ashley brush a tendril of hair off her temple and hook it behind her ear.
“It’ll be ok.” The brunette sounded so sincere that Spencer wanted to believe her. Achingly she wanted to believe her. However her inner monologue was screaming the opposite.
“I’m not sure how” she admitted.
“Spence, it WILL be ok.” Ashley’s mouth made a line. “I’m not sure how either at the moment, but you’re not alone, and we’ll work this out.”
Grateful as she was that she wasn’t alone, and briefly aware of the companionship offer that had just been made, the news was still making Spencer reel and she leant back against the bench in mute confusion, crossing her arms in an unconscious defensive pose. Oh god, what the hell was she going to do.
Elly was thankfully unaware of her mother’s distress, happy watching cartoons. As sick as it was, sometimes Spencer was grateful for her daughters deafness. It did save her from hearing a lot of things that Spencer wouldn’t want her to hear. She managed to wash her face and look vaguely presentable before sitting down at the table with Ashley. She cradled her coffee but her heart wasn’t in drinking it. She was also a little unsure as to whether her stomach could take anything, the butterflies of the weekend now multiplied a thousand fold by the recent news.
“What are you going to tell Gray?” Spencer’s head shot up at Ashley’s carefully worded question.
“Oh god. I have no idea” her hand flew to her mouth and the tears threatened to fall.
“Hey, hey, it’s ok.” Ashley reached across and rubbed her fingers across the back of Spencer’s other hand, gently stroking and calming. There was a pause.. “It is…”

Wow…Wow…Thats about all I can say right now… … …Wow. I love this story. It is just too amazing for words. Ashley is seriously my hero in this story. I love the way she is with Spence, and how she is so willing to help take care of the new baby… even though we already know she would because she wants to be with Spencer but oh well. :) Anyway amazing update. You should seriously change the name of this story to “Amazing” because that is about the only way I can describe it. PMS! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GOOBER!!!!!!!!!
Well, well…things are quite the mess right now. Poor Spencer; what a blow to deal with. I mean, do you keep it? Single mother with two kids? What will Gray say? Or mom and dad? I mean, as much as Spencer would want the child, would she be able to support and manage a baby and a 6 yr old? Talk about not getting any sleep. Mom and dad may support Spencer having the baby and getting back together with Gray. But, we all know that is a baaaad decision and I highly highly doubt Spencer would entertain the idea. However, it is Gray’s child and if he has a change of heart and wants to raise the child, then that opens up a whole new can of worms. Not to mention, Ash will always be her close friend, but they are obviously more, and that tension and heartache will always be lurking. Hmmm…I am not Spencer and I don’t know her character’s background; but, part of me would desperately want the child, while the other half recognizes the severity of that decision and consider all issues, such as financial stability, and single-motherhood. It would be nice for her children to have a father and I would hope that one would be a part of their lives, however this specific situation may not have that luxurity. We have to make personal sacrifices in our children’s best interest. Yet, Spencer deserves to be happy also. If anything, I believe Ash will stand by her no matter what…even if she remarries, gets back together with Gray, stays single; it will be painful, but she’ll do it. That’s why Spence needs to eventually see past all the drama and such and recognize that the person who will help provide for her and stick by her through all of it, is standing right next to her. Ahhh! This fic is really starting to affect my psyche, lol. I love this fic like I love my crack.Goobers, Happy Birthday! Yay for b-days! Hope you had fun, got gifts, had a few drinks…you know the drill. :0)

HAPPY B-DAY GOOBER! and also…EXCELLENT CHAPTER!!!!!! Wow, they got close and then far, and then tlked about their past intimate closeness, then got close again! WOW! I think they should get together, like not THAT way, but in a relationship that leads to them getting THAT way. lol, haha. PMS please

YAY Happy Birthday Goober!! And can I just point out that sexual implications goood…ignoring baaaad. ;) Jk, she has enough on her plate as it is right now. And (although I hate to say this)sleeping with Ash would only add more fuel to her already burning complications. This was a good chapter! Their just growing closer and closer together thanks to this lovely pregnancy! Maybe when most of the dust settles they’ll finally be able to start reavaluate thier current ‘Just Friends’ status…hmmmm? hehe Looking forward to your next chapter. Oh and just so you know I’ll be sharing my story with you this week, maybe even tomorrow if you play your cards right. lol
