Beneath the moonlight shines the truth. – (Chapter: Spencer's first day.)
"Mr Arthur this is the new girl Spencer Carlin" I said as Spencer followed into the room behind me. She looked around the classroom fear evident in her eyes as the class stared at her. Some of the lads checked her out. That really annoyed me, one because Spencer was sweet and innocent; she wasn’t the way they saw her and also because I hadn’t had the chance to do that myself. Well, at least not properly. Mr Arthur nodded.
"Ms Carlin would you like to take a seat by Ms Davies, so we can get on with today’s lesson" He said. In other words sit the hell down so I can teach these kids some crap they’ll have forgotten by tomorrow. At least that’s the way I interpreted his uninterested tone. As I said I don’t like the guy he’s a creep. I sat down on my usual seat and Spencer slid onto the seat next to me. As she did this the sweet scent of her perfume spread across me. I took a deep breath in and sighed she smelt so heavenly. Mr Arthur droned on about some ancient civilization that no longer existed; while I peaked over at Spencer’s schedule. Spencer was too busy scribbling down notes to notice what I was doing. I made a mental note of her lessons today and smiled; they were all virtually the same as mine. Apart from the odd few lessons I’d be seeing Spencer a lot. That was certainly a nice thought. Who would have thought that a new girl would come into my life and brighten up my day. I certainly wouldn’t have thought that the way my morning had started.
I sat in my seat doodling for the rest of the lesson; I was so out of it I hadn’t heard the bell go. A warm hand rested on my shoulder and shook it slightly.
"Um…Ashley" Spencer said hesitantly. I looked up and was greeted by Spencer’s soft blue eyes. I straightened up and looked around the room the rest of the class had gone.
"Shit." I blushed getting up and shoving my books in my bag. "Sorry I was well out of it; again." I explained. "Must be my bi polar meds kicking in" I added jokingly. The same beautiful smile flashed across Spencer’s face and I in return flashed a bigger smile, my nose crinkling in the process. Spencer seemed to noticed and giggled. I frowned.
