    A Vampire's Lament – (Chapter: 5-Death at the Chapel)

When we crossed the surprisingly empty road, we managed to walk quickly across the chapel’s lonely yard. I kept Spencer close to me until we heard another loud shriek coming from upstairs of the creepy death house. I gulped but I couldn’t say a word; I led us to the front door and found it had already been broken into.

"Ashley, I think we should call the cops. This is dangerous and it smells like something just died in here." Spencer told me with a shaky voice. When we walked into the funeral home, the fresh stench stung our noses with incredible force.

"Spencer, I just have to check this out myself. I’ll be fine but you better get out of here and call for help if you don’t want to stay." I reply, adjusting my sunglasses on top of my head since the corridor was dark and lonely. "It’s too late to turn now and besides, I don’t want to leave you here alone. I’ve got my phone ready in case something happens." She said, now pausing in the middle of the hallway.

"Alright, stay here and don’t touch anything until I tell you to do so. I’ll be quick, I promise." I say as convincingly as I could. My soul felt invaded by two immortals so I knew there were two possibly harmful vampires in the chapel.

I waste no time and hurriedly walk up the stairs. My heavy footsteps were a burden to the floor below me and they creaked in pain. There was another long corridor ahead of me and there was no light coming from the covered up windows. There was, however, a sucking sound in the last room of the funeral home.

I didn’t know such a place could have so many rooms but I ignored my suspicions and moved forward.

I could feel the vampire’s hunger being fulfilled as she was greedily absorbing the mortal’s blood. When I crept by the doorway, I slowly opened the weak door and to my surprise, the door just fell down to the floor. I cursed as the immortal turned her attention away from the source of the unpleasant stench.

Her mouth was smeared with blood and her deep blue eyes gazed into mine. She wasn’t angered but pleased instead. I, however, was scared for my life. "I’m-I’m sorry to interrupt your feast. I’ll get going!" I saw cowardly before I start running away from the girl.

    1. sort of sounds like those two vampires are good maybe not but sounds like it and that’ll be cool if they are and they need spence and ash to help stop the evil doers…lol pms

    2. It really doesn’t seem like Evana and Arial want to kill either of them because if they did, they could have easily done it. Maybe the way Ashley heard the story was wrong because it really seems like they were trying to help. Hopefully Spencer listens to Ashley. Great update, can’t wait for the next one, I really love this story.
