LA 2029
Tina entered her bedroom in search of her errant wife to find Shane and Bette sat on the edge of the bed, Shane with a comforting arm around Bette’s shoulders.
“Everything ok in here” Tina asked a little concerned
“Yep, fine, I’ll just go and say a proper hello to the twins” Shane said leaving the room hurriedly.
“Bette” Tina sat in the space that Shane had just vacated.
Bette looked at Tina ignoring her questioning tone “Do you know what I need right now”
“A cuddle?” Tina didn’t wait for confirmation she scooted up the bed and laid with her arms open wide, Bette happily joined her and settled cocooned within Tina’s arms.
They lay silently for a few minutes Tina gently stroking Bette’s hair.
“You know what I love about you” Tina asked
“Everything” Bette replied, feeling miles better simply having her Tina fix even if it was only for a few minutes.
“ I was planning on being a little more specific but everything pretty much sums it up” Tina tightened her hold on Bette, she knew Bette was worried about her forthcoming op and quietly so was she but she trusted Shane and she had to believe that she was going to be ok. She sighed, they had shared a lifetime already however it wasn’t enough, it could never be enough. A little internet research on her condition had revealed that although slight her operation did carry a slight risk of complete memory loss, a fact that she had kept from Bette, her wife was worried enough, god only knows what state she would be in if she knew the whole truth. She did plan on giving Shane a swift kick up the backside for not being completely honest with her as soon as she got her alone.
“You know what we should do” Tina said
“What”
“Next weekend, we should go up to the cabin, just the two of us, what do you think?
Bette thought that sounded like heaven and silently hoped it would come to fruition. “I think we should” Bette agreed “If you feeling up to it, we should ask Shane if that’s ok”

Thanks for the update. I think Tina made her point that kissing is cheating. Having the traumatic experience of the cop discovering them will make sure she never forgets it….too funny. :)
