CHAPTER THIRTY SIX: The Letter
Please be there..
Please be there..
Please be there..
Tina Kennard chanted over and over again inside her head as she angled her way past the morning crowd that littered the halls of Redwind Academy. With her leather case tucked under one arm, she clutched an envelope between her two hands and held it close to her chest. Please be there. She closed her eyes for a brief moment and uttered the short, desperate plea. Her mouth went dry and her heart began to beat faster when she turned a corner and saw her destination a few feet away. Her body and mind were at odds, her system was confused. One part of her dreaded it, another part desperately wanted it. After all, she already found herself severely let down just an hour ago. Stepping out of her apartment building this morning, her heart broke at the sight that greeted her. There, on the sidewalk where a beautiful, mocha skinned brunette always leaned against a hot classic ride while waiting patiently for her every morning, stood no one. No fancy car, no hot girl, no sweet greeting.
Good morning Kennard!
She swallowed hard and slammed her eyes shut as she heard that all too familiar greeting inside her head. Where was it? She asked herself sadly as her shoulders slumped down. Why didn’t she hear it this morning? She opened her eyes and fought back tears. Where was that simple greeting that she had come to love? Where was that simple ‘good morning’ that always signaled the start of her day?
Hopefully, I would hear it inside, she crossed her fingers as she stepped in front of the opened door of the 4-B classroom. She held her breath and gripped the envelope tighter as she took a step forward and entered the room. She whipped her head round, her eyes automatically scanning the room for any sign of the girl she desperately wanted to see. She’s not here, her heart plummeted down to her stomach as her hands fell to her sides. Another disappointment, she sighed bitterly, the envelope dangling loosely between her fingers.
She bit her lower lip and dragged her heavy feet towards her desk by the window. Dejected and feeling as if her hopes had been violently dashed, Tina sat on her chair and hugged her leather case and letter against her chest. The room was quickly filling up with the happy and sleepy faces of her classmates. And each time a new person entered the door, she would find herself straightening up.. only to slump back down once again. As quickly and discreetly as possible, she wiped away a stray tear that escaped her eye. She glanced at the empty chair beside her and bit back a pained groan.

Awwww such a beautiful letter, these two chapters were a rollercoaster for sure but I am sure the make up stuff will be worth it:) Can’t wait for the next 3 chapters u promised for tom.
Wow! What an awesome letter by Tina. She clarified her feelings for Bette while at the same time telling her that she needs to stop walking away when it is convenient for her. I loved the drama! Can’t wait for more!
Looking forward to the making up:)
That was awesome and lovely letter!
Bette’s willingness to give it all up to be with Tina is amazing, but I see Tina’s fears as something they do need to face if they are going to be successful thwarting the evil Melvin.
a story is not a story without a little drama, but blimey this story has got some,Bette should just go and talk to Tina because there is alot of making up to do ;-).loved the last couple of chapters PPS
WOW!!! How much more drama do B&T have to go through? I loved both chapters!!!! The way you write in Amazing!!!! Thank you PPVS
Aww, that maybe was the sappiest love letter in the world, but I loved it. I hope Melvin doesn’t throw Bette out of the house as well… I guess her friends would step in. All Melvin is doing is making sure he loses his daughter. Great chapters, Alchemy, thanks!
I loved this chapter! “Bette is a hugger” haha! Tina’s letter was very sweet! Can’t wait for another chapter!

I loved Tina’s making up letter-it was very romantic. Now they have to work together to prove to theirselves & Melvin that they belong together w/ or w/out money. Great job as always.
