What with Max moving here from Canada, only a week before starting the job, he didn’t know anyone and hadn’t formed any friendships. He spent most of his time here at work. A bit like Tina. He had told her how he trusted her.
She had kept her word and not told anyone. If he needed to go out suddenly or for an appointment, she would cover for him.
Yes, she was glad Max was back. She also knew he would keep his word about helping her.
Driving home that night, Tina thought she may just take him up on that offer.

Chapter 5
Time had flown by and before Tina knew it, over a week had gone by. It had been one of the most hectic weeks she could remember. She’d forgotten how tiring extra curricular activities could be.
On the Wednesday she had gone to Kate’s house to train for the Spelling Bee. It had been a real treat for Tina, reminding her of her own school days, when she and her friends would get together after school and study. It had almost seemed like old habits never died! She didn’t think about it too much. She had grown up since then and knew there was fun to be had in life. Didn’t she?
The night she had spent with Kate and the 2 other girls, Jemma Rivers and Keira Moley, went on until well after 11.
The next day at school, Tina and the others had had their basketball lesson. She’d gone out at the weenend and bought herself some better trainers. They even let your feet breath.
*Now my feet wont smell so bad* she’d thought.
As they’d been told, it was shooting practice all lesson. Tina had surprised herself. She couldn’t believe how well she had done. It was as though she practiced on a regular basis.
Bette had also been very impressed.
‘I think we’ll make a star of you yet’ Bette had told her.
*I cant believe the circumstances we’re in* Tina kept thinking.
If only they had met before this whole undercover business. What would have happened?
*I looked just a little bit different* she remembered.
She doubted Bette would have given her a second glance. Despite her thoughts though, Tina couldn’t stop having a little flirt. It seemed Bette was having a hard time. It was like, she would be flirting back, then, all of a sudden, she’d remember Tina was a student.

I am glad that Kate was able to trust Tina enough to tell her about herself. I guess Bette has already figured it out that Kate is interested in the girl that has set Bette’s heart a fluttering. Looking forward to the next chapter.
If you keep this story according to plan, Bette and Tina will end up together. I’m thinking though that Tina needs to give Kate a hint that she doesn’t stand a chance, without revealing who and why she’s there. We still need more closeness for B&T.

Oh boy, do I have a problem with this story…! You give us long chapters, and yet, never long enough! *pout* I love this… But I feel so disappointed everytime I reach the end! But hey, it’s great, and i’m so grateful that you find enough time to give us these long chapters. No problem here, just my way of conveying how much I like this story. Progress here, with the Miss Porter being gay revelation… But still wondering how in hell there could be a bit of action before the end… Cause there will be, right? Pleaaase? Hey, hope you’re planning on Coach Porter joining the little team party, that would be fun! You know, surprise guest… And then, She and Tina would get to know each other more… “informally”, even through only talking and… yes, lots of flirting!… Anyway, you’re the boss! Damn that girl was right, it was like being at the “American Idol” finale, with the freakin’ commercial break and all!… LOL! Thanks!
Oh Boi, Oh Boi, Oh BoiIf I had a Bette Porter as my P.E teach, Jeeez you!, that is one class, if I could go back in time, which I would turn up either early, on time, and not forget my kit for, as well as participate in all activity. My P.E teacher was crusty lol!
Ohh man. Kate better keep her paws off of Tina. Something about her desperation rubs me the wrong way. Nice reveal to Tina that Bette is gay.. and that Bette is getting jealous. I’m kind of hoping Bette finds out the secret before everyone else, therefore, there can be something between them without it being all totally sketchy. PPS.

Idol finale is about right. I’ve never liked Ryan Seacrest either. lol Ewwww@KaTina. Tina wouldn’t go there anyway unless she felt like possibly going to jail. xD

Nice chapter kelloggs. Glad Tina made team captain. Bette should have been fair with Kate’s position though…she may be jealous of Kate, but she shouldn’t let it affect her professional opinion of her. If I were Tina, I would be sooo tempted to tell Bette the truth.Love your story and your writing!
*bounces up and down* I have been away all weekend and I was so happy when I realised you’d updated!! I love it. It is so great. And now that Tina knows Bette is gay, she should be more flirty-er. :) Or totally make her even more jealous, with Kate.
