Chapter sixteen

Morning soon came and Bette got ready to leave the hospital. She and Tina were both very excited, it was as if their life had been on hold for the past few weeks and they could finally continue.

Bette: “T are you ready to go?”

Tina: “Yes, all is packed babe. Let’s get out of here and go back home.”

They both carried a bag and held hands while they walked out of the room. After checking Bette out of the hospital, they walked to the parking lot.

Tina: “My car is parked over there. I forgot I left it here actually. I was so absorbed by thinking of you that I forgot all about it.”

Tina squeezed Bette’s hand before opening the trunk and putting the bags inside.

Tina: “Do you want to drive or shall I babe?”

Bette: “The honor is all yours T. I’ll just enjoy your presence.”

Tina let out a small chuckle and opened the door for Bette to enter.

Bette: “Trying to get something from me aren’t you? Being so considering and attentive?”

Tina: “Just glad to have you back babe.”

Tina gave Bette a quick kiss on the lips and gently smacked her on the *****.

Tina: “Now get moving.”

Bette chuckled as she did what she was told. She always loved it when Tina took some control and this time wasn’t any different. Tina closed the door and walked over to the other side and got in herself.

Tina: “Let’s go.”

She started the car and left the parking lot.

As they drove home, a comfortable silence fell between them as they glanced over at each other from time to time. They both had broad smiles on their faces and just enjoyed the ride. Tina placed her hand on Bette’s left leg and gave her a beautiful smile.

Tina: “I love you babe.”

Bette placed her hand over Tina’s and softly rubbed the back with her thumb.

Bette: “I love you too T.”

The traffic was light and soon they arrived home. Tina shut off the engine, exited and sprinted around the car to open Bette’s door. She extended her hand, which Bette took in hers while she got out of the car. Once Bette was completely out off the car, Tina pulled Bette to her. Their lips were mere inches apart as they locked eyes. Tina took control of Bette’s mouth as she gave her a passionate and loving kiss.
