I woke to my body aching due to my stressing out all night over what Ashley had to talk to me about today, along with the crying. I just don’t understand what went wrong; I always thought my dad would love me through anything. I know the way he came to find out about my feels for Ashley wasn’t the best scenario but he could have at least let me explain. Grudgingly I forced myself out of bed to get ready for school. I took an extra long time with my shower and getting dressed because I really wasn’t looking forward to what the day had in store for me.

Sitting down with my family for breakfast was one of the more awkward moments of my life it seemed like everyone was talking to each other but was completely ignoring me. It wasn’t shocking getting this treatment from Glen because he usually only focused on himself in less he wanted something. And I have started to come accustom to my dad forgetting my mother ever gave birth to me. But what really was throwing me off was the glances being directed to me from my mom. It feels like she is trying to have a whole conversation with me without speaking a word. I’m just going to brush it off for now because I have more important things to worry about. I finished eating quickly and went into the living room to look over my history note, waiting on Glen to finish up his breakfast so we could head to school. God I can’t wait until I get my own car then I can stop have to rely on bumming rides off of other people.

As I was closing up my note book Glen finally came around the corner with his basketball gear in tow.

“Are you ready?”

“Does it look like I’m ready I’ve been waiting for you “

“Right lets go then I told Maddy I would meet her before class”

“You know her birthday is coming up soon right?”

“Ya about that I was hoping you would maybe want to help me find something to get her, please” he asked giving me a puppy dog pout

“That’s so not cute, but I will help “I responded laughing
