The darkness of the night made her think about the relationship she wanted to be in with her best friend. Her heart skipped a beat or two when the two of them were together. Ashley knew that this relationship was completely different than any other she had been in. The moment they met, she knew that this was one friend whom would stay around for a long time. Her name was, Spencer Carlin and she had moved to LA about three years ago from Ohio. The two have had a time trying to be friends. Spencer’s mom and some of the students at school have been trying to ‘couple’ the two of them up for some time.  Spencer has voiced that she doesn’t want people to judge her and talk about her like trash, so Ashley has not flirted any more with Spencer in hopes that she will come around on her own.

                Ashley decided not to talk to Spencer about her feelings for her until she returned from Chicago to visit her sick aunt. Arthur Carlin needed Spencer to be with his sister Rose because he felt that her wisdom would lead Spencer in the right direction. He knew that his daughter was confused about something very important and she could not talk to him or her mom about it. He knew that his sister Rose was the one that Spencer would confide in and listen to about whatever was confusing her.

                Spencer picked up the phone and dialed Ashley’s number, Ashley answered, “Hello”. “Hey Ash, I just wanted to tell you ‘Bye’ before I left in the morning for Chicago” Spencer answered. Ashley sat down on her bed as she heard the voice of her angel, and responded “I am glad you called Spence, I hope you have a great visit, please call me when you can. LA will not be the same without you and neither will I, see you soon, okay?” “Hey do not worry, I will be back Ash, and yes I will call you after I get settled. Well I guess this is goodbye, so goodbye, love ya” Spencer answered. Ashley almost dropped the phone at the words ‘love ya’, but could only reply back “you too Spence”.
