Chapter Forty-Five
Ashley drove back to their home and was trying to keep her cool about what the evening probably would have in store for them. She was still upset with Spencer for not telling Jessica about their engagement but she didn’t want to have another fight with the blonde.
Spencer looked out the window as they drove along. She knew that Ashley was still upset about her failure to tell Jessica about their engagement. She still wasn’t sure why she hadn’t told her. That’s what was really weighing on her mind the fact that she couldn’t tell her ex-girlfriend about the love of her life. She closed her eyes and just listened to the sounds of the car as they made their way back home.
Ashley pulled into the driveway and put the car in park. She sat back and looked over at Spencer to find her eyes closed. She loved how peaceful Spencer could look when she was thinking or sleeping. It was a calmness that she herself wished she could achieve from time to time.
She leaned over and touched Spencer’s shoulder lightly letting her know that they were home. Spencer opened her eyes and turned her head to give Ashley a sideways smile.
Ashley’s heart sped up at the sight of how vulnerable Spencer looked at that moment. She reached out her hand and traced the line of Spencer’s jaw. This movement elicited a sigh from the blonde’s mouth and she leaned in to kiss her wanting lips.
She pulled back and kissed Spencer’s nose. A smile was on her face and Spencer soon had just as big a smile on her face as well.
They rested their foreheads together and spent the next few minutes just memorizing the details of each other’s eyes. Spencer could see the hints of gray that were within the chocolate brown sea and Ashley could see a sort of blue green ocean looking back at her.
Ashley was the first to pull away and a frown crossed her face.
“Are you sure you still want to go to this dinner?” She said looking into Spencer’s eyes.
Spencer knew that this would be the perfect opportunity to get out of the dinner but her mind wasn’t behaving. “I can’t cancel…”

I’m about to get really mad at Spencer…like REALLY mad! Who wants another girl when they have Ashley…i mean come on! PMS!
spencer you fucking idiot. god. ok seriously. make jessica die in a car accident on the way to dinner. it’d be perfect! and have SOMEONE smack spencer upside the head a few times. cuz shes bein REAL fuckin dumb. gah. pissin me off carlin..thats what you’re doin.

This dinner is going to go SO bad. I can tell already. Spencer is making me mad. Ashley is there and so willing to love her but she’s hung up on her ex-girlfriend who left her. So frustrating. I hope Spencer doesn’t do anything stupid.

ahhh! i want to scream! i’m hoping the dinner goes okay…but i doubt it…its gonna be highly awkward and ugh…spencer! she’s making me really really mad! open ur eyes spencer! ashley loves you! that’s all you need!!!!! sry me venting also! lol great posts!
