    Daddy’s Little Girl….

    -Daddy’s Little Girl-

It had been exactly a year since My father had died. Here I was at 12:02, two minutes after the marking point for his one year anniversary of being six feet under. Spencer and I stand in front of the tumbstone reading "Devoted musican, Loved Father, Husband and Friend"

I ran my fingers over the ingraved letters spelling out his name. I begain to
    shake, My body became cold…

He drops his suitcase by the door
She knows her daddy won’t be back anymore
She drags her feet across the floor
Tryna hold back time to keep him holding on

The tears ran down my face as I held on tightly to my stuffed bear Harry, Lisening to the yelling.

"I can’t take it anymore. I’m leaving." I heard my fathers voice boom from the livingroom.

"Yeah, Just leave, Thats all your good at anyway." I mother screamed back at him.

I ran into the livingroom dropping Harry the bear to the ground and throwing my arms around my dads leg.

"No stay please I love you daddy." I sobbed.

"Look your to young to understand Ashley, But this is something that has to be done." He said trying to make it seem okay that he was abandoning his family.

"If you love me you’ll stay." I pleaded crying harder.

"I have to go Ashley."And with that he grabbed his guitar case and closed the door behind him.

    Daddy Daddy don’t leave
I’ll do anything to keep you
    Right here with me
Can’t you see how much I need you

    Daddy Daddy don’t leave
Mommy’s saying things she don’t mean
She don’t know what she’s talking about
    Somebody hear me out

Squeezing my eyes closed tightly and then reopening them I find myself sitting on the ground infront of his grave, Wrapped in spencers arms.

It seemed like just yesterday Spencer and I were rushing to the hospital because my dad had been in a car reck, Like just yesterday we were spencding countless hours waiting on a word.

    Father listen
Tell him that he’s got a home and he don’t have to go
    Father save him
I would do anything in return
    I’ll clean my room
    Try hard in school
    I’ll be good
    I promise you
    Father, Father
    I pray to you
