Last Kiss
~LAST KISS~
Sitting back stage I take a few cleansing breaths to calm my nerves.
It Had been a Year since it happend,Since the day my love left me. I always thought we’d be together for ever. But just like everyone else she left me. I’ll never forget the night it happend. It was our one year anniversary. And here I am at gray’s to Sing a song I wrote about the night my love slipped away.
"Please welcome Ashley Davies." I slowing walked on the stage, My acoustic guitar in hand.
"Hey guys, About a year ago I love the love of my life. Tonight I’m gonna sing a song I wrote for her. This is Last Kiss…" I stumbbed my guitar remembering the day it happened.
Oh where, oh where, can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me.
She’s gone to heaven so I’ve got to be good ,
So I can see my baby when I leave this world .
It Was all planned out, Spencer and I had reservations at the nicest place in town.
I had gotten her a dozen roses and A sterling silver locket, Which I had ingraved to say: ”You will always have my heart and my love. I love you.” Everything was going to be amazing.
I pulled into her drive way taking a deep breath and checking my make-up. I put the car in park and climbed out heading toward the door. I rang the door bell and let out one more deep breath waiting for the large cherry oak door to open.
"Hi, Ashley. you look nice." Mr. Carlin smiled. "Spencer will be down in a sec. Come on in."
"Thanks." I sat down on the couch, my stomache was doing flips. I had put so much work in to make this night special for spencer. To show her I loved her.
"Hey You." I looked up to see Spencer desending from the stairs smiling.
"Wow, You look so beautiful baby." out of the corner of my eye I could see Mr. C smiling as he left the room.
"So do you." She planted a soft kiss on my lips before grabing her coat and calling out to her dad."We’re leaving dad, I’ll be home later."
