Laurel Holloman is returning for two episodes!

Laurel’s IMDB page clearly has her down for 2 episodes in The L Word Generation Q for 2020 (which is only 8 days away, as of this moment).

She will appear in episodes 6 & 7 of the 8 episode season. Hmmm… not the finale?

– Lose It All (2020) – Episode 7
– Loose Ends (2020)- Episode 6

Let the speculation begin – will it be the beginning of TiBette 2.0 ?!

Also – who didn’t see this coming? ;-)

  1. Wow….sounds like they are trying to boost their ratings. I like the idea but if they are not bringing these two back as couple with a future, then I don’t see the point. If they are going to just finalize their separation or argue over Angie, then its just a tease.

  2. WOW… I’m speechless. Definitely didn’t see that coming.
    But I’m with Martha, as much as I love to see this on the show, it would be heartbreaking for me if it would just be to cement the plot so far. So I’m careful to get my hopes up.

  3. Laurel Holloman has been consistent in saying that she doesn’t want to be a regular on the new series. She’s happy with her art work, but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t willing to come back to fill in some storylines. Like Jacky said, she’s not in the finale…and Episode 6 title ‘Loose Ends’ might just tell it all.

    Who knows, she could be just coming back for quick cameos in each episode, like dropping off or picking up Angie, like so many other divorced couples do. I don’t think this is going to be a big part of the show, but I’ve been wrong before. LOL

    I’m much too afraid it would be a kind of good-bye to my alltime favorite couple so, no, I’m still not able to watch – or even imagine to watch ! – this new L Word without a happy Bette and Tina. Period.
    … and yes, I’m fully aware of how pathetic it sounds but, well, let’s say that since these two literally save me during the darkest years of my life, I’m simply not able to see Bette without her Tee…

  8. HOORAH!!!!! MY FAVORITE ???????????????? BEAUTIFUL AND TALENTED CAST MEMBER RETURNS…,…AT LEAST TWICE. HOPING FOR MORE THAN A CAMEO…….BUT WELCOME ANY AND ALL SIGHTINGS OF OUR BELOVED TINA! CONTINUE TO WISH AND HOPE FOR A RETURN OF TIBETTE!!! MAYBE SOMEDAY?? THEY HAVE SUCH GREAT CHEMISTRY TOGETHER!

  9. P.S. STILL LOVIN’ SHANE AND (MOST OF THE TIME) ALICE!! REALLY MISS KIT, PEGGY AND EVEN THE BEAUTIFUL BRIT…HELENA (TOTALLY LOVE HER ACCENT…SO SEXY)!! HOLLAND AND RACHEL WERE PERFECT IN THOSE ROLES! OF COURSE, NOONE BUT JENNIFER CAN BE OUR SPECIAL LADY BETTE! SORT OF OUR OWN “IRON LADY”, WHILE OOZING SEX APPEAL TO TEMPER THE BLOW! DYNAMITE!!

  12. Definitely think that we will see Tina. There has been lots of chatter about a possible appearance, Laurel b being in LA the latter part of this past summer while Gen Q was filming, Laurel changing her hair color to blonde, her frequent responses that she would love to return. Jenffer in an interview stated that she hoped Laurel would be able to return.

    In the first 3 episodes, Bette has frequently ‘talked` to Tina on the phone about Angie. Bette’s confessed in her town hall session that she still loves Tina, she told Shane she only feels alive with Tina`s love, Bette told Shane She’s not over her yet.

    So, now the speculation is why is Tina appearing????

    Could be for several reasons-
    Taking custody of Angie with Bette`s ongoing campaign scandal
    Supporting Bette thru this campaign scandal
    We have speculated that it was Kit that overdosed on opioids, maybe it was Tina in rehab & now she`s recovered & wants Angie back
    Finally ending their relationship on screen so that Bette can emotionally move on & end the Tibette storyline
    Tina has finally come to her senses & wants Bette back – drama for second 2

    Let me know your thoughts & theories

    • After reading interview which gave new show runner Gen Q to autostraddle i don’t think nor Laurel ever return nor we have to chance to get happy Tibette ever.

    • Thanks, Collins, I’ll always welcome the tinniest hope for my beloved two – that’s my deeply romantic heart’s weakness – because only this possibility would make me watch this new show.

      And I’d like so very much to admire Jennifer Beals playing Bette again, believe me !
      Put the blame on Laurel and her for having bring so much life and unbelievable “truth” in their characters’ love story : it was so powerful that good old Tibetters like me aren’t able to see one without the other :-)
      That’s how I was able, at the time, to endure those awfully painful seasons 3 and 4 : hope, full of hope, crossing fingers and toes…

      So yes, please let’s appear Mr Rod Serling on the screen and brings me a twilightzonesque happy Bette and Tina back !!
      Just for the pleasure to dream a moment, thank you again, Collins :-)

        Yes, Jennifer & Laurel made this couple come alive in out hearts, mind & imagination.
        I recall reading early on in the OG show timeframe that they did everything together on the filming set to become comfortable with each other in order to convey their super close bond as a couple on the show. Truly remarkable- that`s the level of dedication & conviction they had to the couple they portrayed & the show.

        It was their masterful talent that captivated us during the good & ridiculous times on the show. It was also their stead fast belief in true love & soul mates that keep them in the hunt for each other even though IC wanted to break them up from day 1.

        Let’s hope that this time around Jennifer has as much or more influence on their story line as before.

        That’s my Christmas wish to all Tibette fans!!!!!

  13. i stand to be proved wrong ( usually am ) but i cannot see this happening – i would like to see how it played out if it did. i would rather have Helena and Peggy come in as campaign backers for Mayor Bette

    do we think next season ( and there will be a next season me thinks ) we will have Mayor Porter ?..

  14. If she does come back it’s for two reasons. One is to rip Bette a new ass for changing Angie’s school without telling her. The other is to let fans know that she can come back in the future if she wants to.

    I would like to see Peggy and Helena and of course Carmen.

  15. Under the circumstances and the way they’ve framed Tina’s departure so far on the show I wouldn’t want to see her come back. It’s doubtful Laurel will come back full time considering her very successful art career so the most we can hope for is cameo appearances which would be more heartbreaking than just imagining that she’s still around via the phone calls and mentions in conversations.

    Having said that if by some miracle Laurel does come back to acting and sticks around for season 2 then this is how I see it. My time-line may be a bit off but if the new show follows the same MO as the first their original marriage (commitment) lasted 7 years before they fell apart and then it took about 3 years for them to realize they were still in love and got back together.

    The new show is 10 years later. They supposedly got married (legally) and Bette had another affair 3 years ago. In the meantime Tina fell in love with someone else but now 3 years later she realizes it was all a mistake, Bette is feeling remorseful and missing the kind of love she had with Tina so they try again for the next 7 years until it falls apart again. Vicious cycle :-)

    I’m not buying that Tina broke up the marriage because she fell in love with someone else. Tina told Bette in season 6 that she was a vampire and that she wouldn’t deprive her of the need to be wanted by other women (Kelly at the time). Bette said “I know what I am and I know what to do with it.” Well she is certainly using what she has in GenQ. Tina would be a fool to come back to her because Bette wants it both ways. The other thing I noticed is that Shane and Alice appear to be anti-Tina similar to how they treated her when she was with Henry, and lastly Angie never talks to her mother. Even if she lives with Bette you would think that there was still some sort of relationship with Tina, especially since she uses her threat of living with ‘Mama T’ to keep Bette in line. It’s also possible they may bring Season 3 Tina back so everyone will hate her. That would really suck.

      Truly torn by wanting Tina back & having her mess with Bette’s emotions, but not having her back to simply confuse or annoy us with more ridiculous behaviors the writers or Maria dreamed up.

      Jennifer & Laurel had such unbelievable chemistry & their story was so good at times, but then beyond belief at times with the crazy stuff they made them both do to & with their characters.

      I’m sure Laurel is very busy with her art career & sincerely wish her all the very best.
      But find it compelling that she is so often talked about, mentioned & how Bette speaks of her to believe that she has some presence in the reboot.

        Curious to hear your thoughts now that we know Tina is back for at least two episodes. I just watched episode 6 and their one-screen chemistry is still there. Unfortunately, so is all the unfinished business and baggage that they’ve carried around and never resolved in the over 20 year relationship. It’s almost like they wanted to give Tina (Laurel) an easy out if she didn’t stick around but also teasing the possibility that she might want to even knowing the consequences. Anyway, it’s enough to pull me in until the end of the season. However I hope Dani breaks up with Sophie. That woman is insufferable. Sophie and Finley need to just get a place together and we only see them at work with Alice.

          I haven’t seen the episode yet, will tonight when it shows on Showtime.

          I am sooooooo hoping that they didn’t bring Tina back just to finally finish Tibette for good. That would be truly cruel & heartbreaking for all Tibette fans.

          Overall, I would say that I am extremely disappointed in this series. Even if Marja didn’t hold any allegiance to the original show, her efforts at story telling are terrible. The new characters are absolutely awful with little character development & the actors are not very good. The trans influence is just way too much. Micah is ridiculous, Finley is a drunk & so immature, Sophie needs to stand up for herself, Nat can’t make up her mind what she wants, Dani is not mature enough for Bette, she’s like a child next to Tina.

          Hard to believe what others are reporting that took place with Tina looking for herself & neglecting Angie & Bette. These writers are terrible. They have mistreated Kit by the way she supposedly died & then make Tina look like a selfish B for not going to the funeral. Crazy. Hard to believe Beals went along with this storyline as the executive producer.

          Do you or anyone else have a suggestion how to get our opinions thru to Showtime? We are all complaining about the show on sites like this, but not getting to anyone that can have an impact on the outcome.

          Showtime sees the ratings, but not all the comments as to how bad the show is.

          I would absolutely love for season 2 to happen if they get better at the writing & focus on relationships & not just 1 night hook ups.

  18. I would like to believe that Laurel will not come back to trash Tina again. She is very protective of the Tibette legacy. Her new career started with the fan club that she got mostly from TLW. And I would be disappointed if Jennifer, who is now in a position of power, sells out. I’m already disappointed, quite frankly. Bette should not be in GenQ, except for guest appearances to boost the series, with Tina being away producing a new movie in Canada, for example.
    One thing that people are not mentioning is the fact that these two and Ilene may be concerned with a new series that could potentially become another TLW Season 6 to their legacy – something to cringe over and hope it never happened. I would envision that Laurel might agree to come back for a few secret scenes that we would only get to see if there was an indication of a cancellation. And in those scenes, they would fix the mess, even if poorly, and B&T would come back together.

    Ok so Tina is back, but obviously still with a lot of anger and resentment. Does not appear that they were happy together for any of their marriage. Very confusing messages but loved seeing Laurel back on screen. She’s a redhead, so that might be a clue she’s not totally back.
