“So, what do you think?”
Bette looked up from her book to see Helena standing in front of her looking very stunning and beautiful in a pretty black dress.
The dress clung onto Helena’s body in the right places, accentuating her womanly curves and perfect figure. El was one lucky bastard to be Helena’s boyfriend.
She let out a breath that she was unaware that she had been holding unto.
“You look so beautiful.” She smiled.
Beautiful was just another word that can never do justice in describing Helena.
“Thank you.” Helena smiled shyly, her cheeks reddened slightly as she used her palms to smoothen the sides of her dress.
Bette secretly adores how Helena would flush and get all shy whenever she’s being complimented. Helena’s so cute.
“You’re aware that tonight’s party isn’t a formal kinda thing right?” Bette asked, puzzled by Helena trying out a formal looking attire.
“What party?” Helena raised an eyebrow.
“The one that the crazy party guy from school is throwing tonight?”
“Oh right…”
Shit, Helena cursed silently in her head. She got the days wrong. She thought that the party won’t be until tomorrow night.
Judging by her respond and facial expression, Bette had a strong vibe that Helena was going to cancel on her, again.
Needless to say, it was probably be because of El, again.
“I suppose you’re not going to go?” Bette said flatly.
Helena gave her a guilty look, chewing on her lower lip.
The answer was an obvious no.
Bette could feel her anger beginning to boil inside of her. Helena had cancelled or asked to do a rain check several times. And that excludes all the other times over the last couple of weeks.
Flashback to the week before…
“Hey Bette. I am so sorry for being so last minute about this but I doubt I’m going to be home for dinner. I won’t be back till pretty late. I’m so sorry.”
And the week before…
“Bette darling, I am sorry but El’s feeling a little under the weather and I think that I should be by his side just for today. I promise that I’ll make it up to you. We’ll hang out another day?”

I’m with you Jac. I just hope the next time Bette sees Helena she’ll tell her to pack up her shit and move in with her fake boyfriend because she’s fake and they should be happy living fake ever after….lol. I hate to say this but Helena is getting on my nerves because I can’t stand fake, cowardly people. Has Helena tried talking to her parents or has she over heard them crticizing gays and that’s why she’s afraid to be herself. Talking is always the best solution so maybe when Helena decides to grow some and stand up for herself she’ll find that her parents don’t care who she loves as long as she’s happy. pps.
Whoaaaaa!! Is H that blind…and B has to open up or step away!! I’d say open up even if she doesn’t tell H she’s in love with her….but she can’t stew in her own juices…you know!!!
oh oh!!! This didn’t go well, did it? Bette and helena will have to talk at some point. It might help them move on about their feeling for each other. I just hope Helena will decide to date women and specially bette but if not may be may be bring Tina as a threat might make her change her mind. Great post even if it is sad to see them like that. PPVS

Maybe it’s me but for some reason I believe this is the argument they needed to get the ball rolling. Great update!
I loved this chapter. Great tension between both of them. I hope Helena realises how fake it is her relationship wth El and how much in love she is with Bette.
