Tina went into work and did what she had been doing since finding out about her pregnancy, avoiding Johnny.

However Johnny was determined to change this.

 Johnny knocked on Tina’s office door.

Tina: “Come in,” Tina stated in a business like matter.

Johnny enters Tina’s office.

Tina keeps working and never looks up.

Johnny: Hi Tina I was just wandering if you were okay.

“Why wouldn’t I be?” Tina said angrily

Johnny not wanting to upset Tina again opened the door to exit Tina’s office.

Johnny looking back at Tina: Okay girl, I’m just checking.

Sunday night appeared to come too quickly.

Tina went to bed thinking about all the events that had occurred recently in her life. She wondered how this could happen to her. Her of all people. It’s just her luck and she was sure that Alice really did not believe her about getting pregnant by a female alien. However Tina really did not blame her best friend she would not believe Alice either if Alice were in her shoes. Tina’s thoughts were broke by the phone ringing. Tina picked up the phone.

Tina: Hello

Alice: Hey TK.

Tina: Hey

Alice: So are you headed to bed?

Tina: Yeah actually I’m in bed.

Alice: Oh I am sorry if I woke you up. I was just wondering if you were um still planning to go through with, um you know.

Alice could not bring herself to say the word.

Tina started to become upset but then thought about her friend’s point of view. Tina herself did not believe in abortion but believed in a woman’s right to choose to stay pregnant or not stay pregnant so it was understandable that Alice would feel upset. Tina interrupted her own thoughts.

“Yes, I plan to go through with it,” Tina stated softly.

“Oh,” Alice stated with some disappointment in her voice.

Tina: Look Alice you don’t have to go with me. I know you don’t approve of this but I have to do it.

Alice: No Tina it’s okay I want to be there for you no matter what.

Tina: Are you sure?

Alice: Yes, so tell me what time tomorrow.

Tina: 11am.

Alice: Okay I’ll meet you there. At the Sarah Soda Center, right?

Tina: Yes

Alice: See you tomorrow

Tina: Okay, Bye

Alice: Bye

Alice thought she would be there for Tina but didn’t plan to drive Tina to the Center. In Alice’s head this was her last stance of showing her disapproval concerning Tina’s decision. However she did plan to drive Tina home. Tina planned to take a cab to the Center. Tina accepted Alice reasoning.

As Tina laid in bed she decided to block all thoughts out of her mind of Bette or the baby. It made it easier for her. Tina turned her radio on full blast.

The next morning

It was time for Tina to get up and prepare to go to the Center. Tina had not slept at all and she felt it all over her body. She had one hour to get ready and meet Alice at the Center. Tina got in the shower. Her body ached as if she had been in a battle. Tina throughly washed herself but avoided washing her stomach. She then quickly rinsed herself off and got out of the shower.

At the Center

The cab pulled up to the Center. Tina got out of the cab.

Alice waved at Tina from the parking lot to indicate her location.

Tina began walking toward Alice when a hand grabbed her wrist and angrily said, “Energize.”
